• Obama, Congress: Support the UNGA Treaty to Ban Nuclear Weapons
On December 23, the UN General Assembly approved a resolution to launch negotiations in 2017 on a treaty banning nuclear weapons. [1] Unfortunately, the Obama Administration opposed the resolution. [2] Worse, the Obama Administration called on other countries to vote against the resolution and to boycott the treaty negotiations. [3] The International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) is urging all countries to take part in the treaty negotiations. [4] Urge President Obama and Members of Congress to support the negotiations on a treaty to ban nuclear weapons by signing our petition. • Mormon Tabernacle Choir: Back-Out of Trump's Inauguration
As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I wish to encourage the Mormon Tabernacle Choir's President and Administrative Director to uphold the Church's non-partisan stance during this heated election year. Regardless of past participation in Presidential Inaugurations, the division in our country over this election will only be magnified among our members and neighbors by the Choir's participation in the Inaugural event.

  • Stop Fake News
We are a group of concerned citizens who are alarmed by the proliferation of fake news on the Internet and want to help combat this problem. Currently, many American get their news from Internet sites that include misinformation or downright lies. The spread of false news outlets is poisoning political discourse as well as affecting world events in unpredictable and dangerous ways. We believe that the Internet needs to adapt and provide a means to assist people in differentiating news based on facts from fake news that is written with the intent to deceive or for entertainment purposes.

  • Congress Disqualify Electors on Jan 6
On January 6th when the Joint Session of the House and Senate certify the election- they must support objections to Electoral College ballots from Wisconsin, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Wisconsin violated a court order on voter ID restrictions and roughly 300,000 voters were denied ballots in a state that Mr. Trump won by 27,000 votes. Disqualify that state's Elector Ballots !! North Carolina's Republican legislature bragged on voter suppression cutting early voting in minority districts by 85 %. Disqualify that state's Elector Ballots !! Most ballots in PA are cast with unverifiable touch screen tallying that experts agree is completely untrustworthy and prone to interference. Disqualify that state's Elector Ballots !! And since Mr Trump will no longer have the 270 majority ballots, rendering him ineligible for the Presidency - instead select a moderate, sane Republican for president and a Democrat for Vice President having the result of ridding Congress of partisan gridlock. • Defend #Senegal & #NewZealand UN vote against settlements
On December 23, the UN Security Council adopted a historic resolution against settlement colonies in the Palestinian West Bank. The vote was 14-0, with the US abstaining. US Ambassador to the UN Samantha Power said following the vote: "Today the Security Council reaffirmed its established consensus that the settlements have no legal validity." [1] Bibi Netanyahu retaliated for the vote by recalling ambassadors from New Zealand and Senegal, and by ending all aid programs for Senegal. [2] Urge President Obama and Congress to stand with New Zealand and Senegal by signing our petition. • Resign Carl Paladino!
Due to the racist and vile rhetoric and the irreparable damage such a man could do if allowed to contemplate sitting on a Public School Board

  • President-elect Trump: Cut ties with your supporter Carl Paladino!
There is no need to explain Paladino's comments further. They speak for themselves. To clarify our demand to "cut all ties to Carl Paladino now" we mean that Trump must: 1. End any public or private connection to Carl Paladino, 2. Cut all financial ties that he, his business partners, his family, or any of their business partners may have with Paladino, his business partners, his family, or any of their business partners may have to Paladino or any business with which he is affiliated, 3. Return any donations or gifts you or anyone in your family may have received, 4. Demand all members of your administration do the same, and 5. Commit to the severance of ties at least through the end of Presidency. Other remedies may be necessary also, but anything short of these demands means that Donald Trump's claim to be President for all Americans cannot be taken seriously.

  • Congress: Stop Presidential Tweets
I am concerned that the President Elect has already shown his inability to restrain himself from commenting on sensitive domestic and international issues as evidenced by his latest foray into suggesting the altering of long standing Nuclear Non-Proliferation policy.

  • Demand Carl Palladino's Immediate School Board Resignation!
It is appalling that a person with such extremely bigoted viewpoints is serving on a school board! Where the schools of New York State are exemplary in our commitment to protect students from racist bullying, a hateful individual who has made such remarks as to wish the death of a President and to undermine a First Lady who are esteemed by countless Americans is absolutely unqualified as a leader on a school board.

  • Radio City Rockettes Should Not Be Forced To Perform At Inauguration
Freedom of speech and the right to protest is guaranteed in the Constitution and should also be honored in the workplace. As Donald Trump has repeatedly and publicly disrespected women, been charged with rape three times, and noted for entering the dressing rooms of contestants at his own events, it is unreasonable for Rockette employees to be subjected to the possibility of similar degradation. At no time should any employee be fearful of loss of employment as a result of not participating in a situation that is detrimental to their safety or dignity!
