Hold Wells Fargo Executives AccountableWells Fargo employees broke the law by opening more than two million accounts without customer permission. While 5,300 Wells Fargo low-level employees were fired, CEO John Stumpf, who just resigned, is still walking away with around $130 million dollars. CEO John Stumpf resigned, but this does not go far enough to hold Wells Fargo accountable. Tell the Department of Justice to investigate top executives to determine whether criminal misconduct was condoned or covered-up by senior officials.350 of 400 SignaturesCreated by US PIRG

Hillary, Please Don't Share the Stage with a Sexual PredatorMy wife and the women (and men) around me are physically shaken by the revelations, and Hillary would be giving a gift to them by shutting this thing down. Please keep us from having to experience his vitriol again.16 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Arne

.@nytimes: Acknowledge ongoing U.S. military involvement in Yemen's civil warA recent New York Times report claimed that U.S. cruise missile strikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen "marked the first time the United States has become involved militarily in the civil war between the Houthis, an indigenous Shiite group with loose connections to Iran, and the Yemeni government, which is backed by Saudi Arabia and other Sunni nations." [1] The U.S. was already "involved militarily in the civil war" prior to the missile strikes. Human Rights Watch notes, "The US became a party to the conflict during the first months of fighting by providing specific targeting information and refueling planes during bombing raids." HRW identified the munition used in a Saudi Arabia-led coalition airstrike on a funeral ceremony in Sanaa on October 8 as a US-manufactured air-dropped GBU-12 Paveway II 500-pound laser-guided bomb. HRW described the attack, which killed at least 100 people and wounded more than 500, including children, as "an apparent war crime." [2] Understanding that the U.S. was and remains "militarily involved" is crucial for understanding U.S. responsibility, for establishing context for the reported missile strike on the U.S. ship, and for understanding Congressional responsibility. Congress has never voted to authorize a U.S. war against Houthi rebels in Yemen. [3] If the U.S. is engaged in "hostilities" against Houthi rebels that have not been authorized by Congress, then Congress has an obligation under the Constitution and the War Powers Resolution to either pass an authorization for the use of force, or to vote on the withdrawal of U.S. forces from the conflict. Urge the New York Times to correct the record concerning ongoing U.S. military involvement in Yemen's civil war by signing our petition. Tell School Boards and Superintendents: Let's end hatred and discrimination in the classroomFear is being recklessly stirred up among children across America in this tough election year. Our children are listening to the toxic and hateful rhetoric used by adults. The negativity spills over onto the playground and into the lunchroom. In too many cases, the language that adults use causes young people to worry and fear for their futures, especially children of minority ethnic and faith backgrounds. We can put an end to it by building a movement to welcome diversity. Not one more Latino child will hear, "Build the wall!" chanted at them at their basketball game. Not one more gender-nonconforming student will fear going to the bathroom. Not one more Muslim child will be tormented or taunted while walking to school. It starts with our school leaders – school boards and superintendents – across America taking charge and giving children the opportunity to be kind and inclusive. Programs like Know Your Classmates and No One Eats Alone teach students to challenge their own assumptions, find common ground, and learn empathy and tolerance. And before long, student leaders take charge and teach each other to make school more inclusive. Let’s build a movement in our schools!616 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Laura Talmus from Beyond Differences

Tell the EPA: Ban Monsanto's Roundup Unless and Until It's Proven SafeWe're launching a big campaign to get the EPA to ban Roundup unless and until it's proven safe. The chemicals in Roundup have been linked to serious health risks, yet its use is on the rise. The active ingredient in Roundup is now the most widely used agricultural chemical of all time. Yet weeds are developing resistance to the herbicide, becoming "super weeds." That means farmers need to use more Roundup to kill those weeds, subjecting more of our rivers, land, wildlife and bodies to more of the chemicals linked to cancer and reproductive problems. It's time for the EPA to ban Roundup unless and until it's proven safe. Join our movement and sign our petition now!5,186 of 6,000 SignaturesCreated by US PIRG

Ask a question about climate change in the last presidential debateClimate scientists have told us that this is the decade to take decisive action to prevent catastrophic global warming, but there hasn't been one question about climate change in the first two presidential debates. We need to hear where the candidates stand on climate change.4,111 of 5,000 SignaturesCreated by Michael Morrill

Save the Berkeley Animal Rights Center! The Berkeley Animal Rights Center (ARC) was recently sent a 30-Day Notice to Cure or Quit alleged defaults in a lease agreement with the City of Berkeley. These "defaults" include making improvements to the space (such as painting), having a lockbox on the door, and having improper signage -- all of which were approved by the city's agent in writing or are common practice by other tenants in the building. These spurious allegations, along with inside information, lead us to believe the notice is politically motivated. Since receiving the letter, we have tried negotiating with the City, but have been met with hostility and aggression. ARC is an example of democracy and activism in the city that spearheaded the Free Speech Movement. With values such as nonviolence, inclusivity, and mutual aid, ARC represents the best in Berkeley. The Center trains and educates diverse volunteers in First Amendment advocacy and nonviolence, serves as an example to people around the world who love animals and has attracted many people to visit Berkeley. --- The Berkeley Animal Rights Center (ARC) is the first community center dedicated to animal rights in the USA. It opened in July 2016 and is operated by the 501c3 non-profit organization Friends of DxE.2,120 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Wayne Hsiung

Reno Police Department: Hold The Driver of The Car, Who Used His Vehicle as A Weapon, Accountable!!!Public Awareness helps to Keep All Protestors Safe from violence! A group of Native American Protestors were holding a peaceful protest, until approached by someone who was yelling racial slurs. Although, they may not have had a permit to demonstrate, no one has a right to use their vehicle as a weapon, and drive through a crowd of human beings. The right to protest in this country is a right we all share. Don't allow a mad man to get away with attempted vehicular manslaughter making all of us less safe. This is another hate crime committed by white individuals against a group of indigenous people. A crime is a crime, no matter the color of the humans involved. Stand Together People, Protect Your Right to Protest. Demand that the Reno Police Department not be among the many police departments around the country which allow a race biased culture to be a part of our city.428 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Aleta Durney
