• Support Iowa Puppy Mill Legislation
Iowa has the second largest number of puppy mills in the U.S., which house approximately 15,000 dogs. USDA records show that 47% of Iowa breeders were cited for violations to the Animal Welfare Act of 2014. Of the top 4 dog breeding states, Iowa is the only state without state-level oversight. State oversight will also decrease the production and distribution of sick and genetically inferior puppies, thereby helping to protect consumers.

  • Legalize Medical Marijuana In The State of Wisconsin
To help all people with PTSD, Cancer, and other mental disorders and medical problems. This includes me a veteran who is on all kinds on meds that could be a limited if this was legal. My doctor said if it was legal they would have me on medical marijuana and it would reduce the meds I take and would help many Veterans with PTSD. The governor said the Dea said medical marijuana leads to more dangerous drugs so he will not legalize it.We need this for our Veteran and Cancer Patients so let's push this.

  • War Tax
Thou shall not kill or at least not profit from wars. Wars kill people and cost a lot of money. If Everyone has to pay, those in charge will insure that there will be fewer wars. If the cost of war is paid off quickly, there will be less long term economic disruption. Soldiers and citizens will be glad it's over. Everyone shares the pain, not just the family members of our lost Soldiers.

  • Stop the house closings
The state again wants to cut the population of the Developmental Disabled and replace them with the Mentally Ill. They are using the facade of the Olmstead Act and Jensen Agreement to make it seem as though it will benefit both populations. This will be extremely hurtful to my son who is DD and the others who live in his house as well as others in the same predicament. My son is not ready to be in a less restrictive setting and he is very involved in the community through his work through Range Area Vocational Supports, Special Olympics, and more. Moving him away from his family/supports because there is nowhere close with the programming he needs would have catastrophic if not irreversible outcomes. The state needs to find a better way of integrating the MI into the communities instead of harming the other citizens.

  • Require I.D. and 18 to buy gun magazines
Since the gun restriction laws are floundering. perhaps we should at least keep Gun magazines off the shelves. My 5 year old nephew brought one to his Dad while they were shopping because it was strategically placed on the lowest rack in the store. He was drawn to the picture on the front. These magazines promote excessive weapons and should not be sold to minors.

  • Massachusetts: Legally Recognize Non-Binary Genders
There are many types of gender identity beyond male or female, but in all legal documents—along with driver's licenses, state ID cards, etc.—you have to conform to the "gender binary", not allowing people who are transgender and/or non-binary (or "genderqueer") to show who they truly are. Changing this will allow them to accurately identify themselves, which is a small but significant step for trans* rights. While not many will be affected, it will greatly benefit those who need it. It's a small change, but it's a start, and it's huge for those members of the LGBTQ community who have faced discrimination for their gender identity. It is a step towards true equality, so let's pave that path, and make Massachusetts the first state to officially recognize non-binary people.

  • Ban plastic bags in stores or charge for them 10 cents
I am concerned about environmental pollution and dangers to wildlife and our food chain. Plastic in the ocean poses major danger to all kinds of sea life and the fisheries world-wide. Our coastal communities and the Alaska economy are very dependent on a healthy fishing industry. Therefore this issue should be of great concern for the well being of all Alaskans and I hope for their understanding and support.

  • Set Term Limits on Office of Governor of the State of WI
36 states have terms limits on the office of governor. Often governors run for President during their second term. If the voters in a governor's home state are disappointed by that governor, they may be conflicted by their wish to be rid of their governor and their responsibility to help the rest of the nation avoid similar disappointment.

  • Let's protect the "T" in LGBT
Currently, there are several bills in Florida that are being passed or attempting to be passed that restrict bathroom and public facility usage to reflect "birth gender." This is directly targeting the transgender community. I have heard several times that this is a mute issue since, and I quote Rep. Artiles, "they are not a protected class so this isn't an issue". We need to stop these potentially harmful and senseless bills.
