• Get glyphosate out of feeding tube liquid!
1 out of 2 of our children in America currently have a chronic illness. 1 out of two males and 1 out of 3 femals are expected to get cancer. When they do, we can see now that in many cases, they are receiving a formua that contains a chemical that can kill their gut bacteria and weaken their immune system. This is unacceptable. We ask you to change your feeding tube liquid over to an organic brand as soon as possible. Please let us know when you do.

  • PETITION FOR THE RESIGNATION OF CAMI ANDERSON
State Appointed Newark Public Schools Superintendent Anderson has continued to ignore and disrespect Newark parents, students, school staff, clergy, and elected leaders who have spoken out against her One Newark plan. Anderson, and the One Newark plan, have closed neighborhood schools, displaced children throughout the city, and left special needs students and English language learners without needed supports, violating numerous district, state, and federal policies. Despite wide spread opposition, Anderson has continued to impose her harmful plan on the parents and children of Newark. It’s time we all stood together to demand the resignation of State Superintendent Anderson.

  • NO to cancer risk with makeup!
The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics investigated L’Oreal products commonly found on store shelves, and found a shocking use of carcinogens in the mascaras, eyeliners and eye shadows. It also found cancer-causing chemicals in L’Oreal’s anti-aging creams, nail polish and hair products made by the company’s most iconic brands, Maybelline and Garnier. L’Oreal’s kids' products aren't free of potentially cancer-causing chemicals either! The investigation found DMDM hydantoin in L'Oreal Kids 2-in-1 shampoos, a chemical that releases formaldehyde to preserve the product. Formaldehyde has been designated as a carcinogen by many authoritative, scientific bodies, including the United States National Toxicology Program and the International Agency for Research on Cancer. Companies like Johnson & Johnson have already removed formaldehyde-releasing chemicals from its children's products, proving L’Oreal could and should be as well! Sign on now, and join the chorus of moms and family members telling L’Oreal that we want products – including cosmetics, anti-aging creams and baby shampoos – that don’t contain ingredients linked to cancer!

There comes a time when every breastfeeding mother dreads their sweet baby biting down on them while nursing. Some women fear this moment so much, they will actually stop nursing altogether just to avoid being bitten. Since babies will practically gnaw on anything that relieves the pain of teething, it’s not unusual for them to bite. There’s even another reason a baby will bite that you probably never imagined: Babies bite as a sign of affection. When a baby does this, mothers usually take them off the breast and put them down in a non-punitive way to let them know that biting means an end to the nursing. But one mother in eastern China’s Jiangsu Province decided to take matters into her own hands–leaving her eight-month-old baby boy in a pool of blood. Xiao Bao is lucky to be alive after his mother stabbed him 90 times with a pair of scissors, mostly on his face, for biting down on her nipple while breastfeeding. One of Xiao’s uncles found him in the yard of their home and rushed him to the hospital. After getting more than 100 stitches, the infant is recovering. Despite neighbors pleading with the local government to take custody of the poor child, Xiao will remain with his mother and two uncles. Please see the link below for the picture of this little baby boy. http://unseenvines.com/details.php?86&news=88

  • Save Saint Andrew's in NYC
St. Andrew is a Roman Catholic parish church in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, located at 20 Cardinal Hayes Place, Manhattan, New York City. It was established in 1842. Above the entrance to the church, an inscription in Latin reads "Beati qvi ambvlant in lege Domini," which means, "Blessed are they who walk in the law of the Lord." It is vital to the community as well as the thousands who visit it regularly. St. Andrew has merged and its parish is currently at risk of being closed. Today, St Andrew in NYC is located and intertwined with the seat of New York City, State and Federal Government and it needs to remain viable church parish community including its weekday commuter parishioners. Please sign the petition, visit our church and pray for our success.

  • Gov. Rauner: Stop the Illiana Boondoggle
The proposed Illiana expressway would run from Indiana to Illinois, south of Chicago, cutting through farmland and threatening the Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie. The Iliana is projected to cost anywhere between $1.3 to $2.8 billion, and Illinois taxpayers would be on the hook for anywhere between $690 million to $1.35 billion of the costs. Driving has been declining in Illinois over the last decade, including in the region the Illiana would serve yet the Illiana planners justify the project with predictions that driving will steadily increase every year for the next thirty years. That's why Illinois PIRG highlighted the expressway as one of 11 highway boondoggles across the country. Governor Rauner has not taken a position on the Illiana but his transition team recommend he "pause and review" all major infrastructure projects. It also recommended prioritizing maintaining our current infrastructure over major expansions. Tell Governor Rauner to put the brakes on the Illiana boondoggle.

  • Tell Gov. Pence to Drop The Lawsuit Attacking Indiana Immigrants and Families
Recently, the State of Indiana joined a host of other states in suing the federal government over the President's executive action on immigration. In addition to subjecting thousands of Indiana families to deportation, this lawsuit, if successful, would deny work permits to thousands of Indiana immigrants and deprive our state of $66 million in much-needed tax revenue over the next five years. President Obama had to act on immigration after Republicans in Congress chose to do nothing. And despite the fact that President Obama's immigration action will benefit countless families in Indiana and generate millions in taxes for the state, Gov. Mike Pence and Attorney General Greg Zoeller are joining with their political partisans to block it. It was bad enough when Gov. Pence opposed immigration reform and -- knowing how much our economy depends on immigrants -- would only support a guest worker program. Now by taking part in this anti-immigrant lawsuit, he’s showing just how cynical of a move that really was. We need Gov. Pence and his administration to immediately end the lawsuit against President Obama and stop the attacks against immigrant workers and families living in Indiana. They are part of our state and they deserve a way to become documented residents, not shunned and set up for deportation.
