We aim to join the movement to curb climate change through moving institutional investments from companies that support fossil fuel use and development to more sustainable options in an effort to uphold Goucher College's community principles to responsibility and sustainability.

We have a four month old son. We love Tribeca Pediatrics and are philosophically aligned with their approach to pediatric healthcare in many ways. However, it has come to our attention that over 100 active patients at the Fort Greene practice alone are anti-vaccinators. We are afraid of the risk posed to our baby by sharing space with these individuals, particularly in light of the fact that it is when babies are sick and vulnerable that they go to the doctor. Some important context: We have raised our concerns directly with the practice. They were extremely responsive, and sympathetic to our concerns, acknowledging that there is some risk involved, but they feel they have a better chance of educating anti-vaccinators if they continue to accept them. They also explained that the idea of separation is logistically difficult due to space constraints. We started this petition in the hopes that if enough people express interest in their doing so, they will consider creating some system for separation, despite the logistical difficulty in doing so. This petition was started by parents in Brooklyn, but it is an issue that affects us all. In the February 1, 2015 article that highlights the long and difficult commute to work that one of your employees takes each day, you celebrate his resilience and commitment to the job. You should be ashamed of yourselves for supposedly supporting this man, yet refusing to pay him a living wage that would allow him to commute to work easier and not commute for 8 hours a day. Commit to paying your workers a living wage now so that no employee has to spend 1/3 of their day commuting to work.

I am a parent and a physician who not only cares for my own children but all others who are put at risk by parents who choose not to vaccinate their kids for nonmedical reasons. If we can ban peanuts in school because of one child, we can significantly reduce serious risk of infectious diseases to many more children.

My part in the mission is to design, fabricate mobile classrooms that will inform, involve the children of all ages so that they will 'social network' and encourage their schools and parents to set up 'green houses' on apartment and school rooftops, balconies and backyards. The monies saved on good food will support solar panels and wind turbines which will power both the greenhouses and residences. The second part of the mission is to demonstrate to the traditional farmers that hydroponics/Aquaponics is the no-brainers of no-brainers. Less water, no pesticides, at least 15 times more harvest then traditional farming, LESS LABOR, less risk of crop failure. I have 87 acres in the desert to start demonstrating these points. My design will start at 70 times/square unit of earth compared to traditional farming. We have to return to 'ma and pa farms' with hydroponics and Aquaponics which will be profitable despite the climate changes. I am a parent who lost my eldest daughter to a heroin overdose. She was only 29 years old. We struggled through a system that is just not working to save them. She was on methadone for 3 years. We went every day...she suffered a horrible withdrawal in prison (I received information from inside verifying that). It was the worst 5 years, only to lose her in the end. So many families struggling. Something must be done!!! I am speaking out at schools and marching in Washington D.C. for the 1 year anniversary of the arrest of "El Chapo" Mexican drug lord.

We are asking Gov. Rick Scott to please pardon her so she can have a completely free life ahead of her to pursue anything she wishes.

The My Home Program made the dream of ownership a reality for many families. Without this program many low and moderate income families will not be able to afford suitable housing. The insensitivity of county officials towards the plight of homebuyers was demonstrated by the manner in which the program was cut without advance warning. Hundreds of ratified contracts were voided resulting in the loss of upfront monies that had been spent on inspections and appraisals. Transitioning to Triple Play was not an option as the dollar amount offered by that program could not qualify the borrower for the home specified in their contract. Typical among those affected were single parent mothers with large families. This is a concern worth immediate attention. Reinstating the program is the only way to preserve the hope of home ownership for many and to prevent the monetary cost cancelled contracts.
