Have the Elected Republicans Broken Their Sworn Vows? Why was the Republican Senator Mitch McConnell allowed to make the public speech which was about the decisions from the Republicans' strategies and tactics meeting of how they were going to deal with President Obama and the voters who elected him? With our Country in two wars and on the path to another economic great depression in 2008 and President taking the office in January 2009, the Republicans came up with their objectives of doing "everything they could to cause President Obama's failure. Oppose Verizon Wireless's plan to build a cell tower at Hubrich FarmsWe currently live in a quiet residential neighborhood. Our children play here and attend school just down the street. A cell tower so close to our homes will drastically reduce the liveability of our neighborhood. This proposed tower should be stopped.162 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Wendy Dougan

Attorney General Harris: Protect Safety Net HospitalsMy name is Isaac Rodriguez and I’m an EMT at St. Francis Medical Center near Los Angeles. My hospital system, the Daughters of Charity, six hospitals with over 100-years of serving the poor and sick in our communities, is up for sale. The potential buyer, Prime Healthcare, has a track record of ignoring community needs, cutting health services, and laying off dedicated caregivers in order to maximize profits. When Prime bought Centinela Hospital in Inglewood eight years ago, the company said they would “maintain all currently-offered services.” It took them less than a year to cut the hospital’s maternity and psychiatric care units. I couldn’t stand to see my community lose access to so many important services. For me, it’s most important that our hospitals keep providing all of our services to our community. Everything I know about Prime tells me that they will do the opposite. I’ve looked into the company and its practices. Prime Healthcare is under investigation for Medicare fraud and their CEO, Prem Reddy, has stated that a patient’s care should should be limited by what they can afford. If putting profit over patients is what they’re about, Prime shouldn’t be anywhere near our safety-net hospitals. Luckily, California state Attorney General Kamala Harris can prevent the sale to Prime, just as she has done with other hospital sales in the past. If she does, there’s another buyer ready to step up, who has committed to protecting community care and the hospital’s mission of charity. Sign the petition asking Attorney General Harris to stop the sale of Daughters of Charity hospitals to Prime Healthcare, and protect access to quality health care for everyone in our communities.277 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Isaac Rodriguez, EMT at St. Francis Medical Center

Stop The Algonquin Pipeline Expansion Project in ConnecticutWe urge all to sign this petition because time is of the essence. The Algonquin Pipeline Expansion Project will impact citizens of New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. There are only a few weeks left before the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection makes a final decision regarding its certification of water quality for the Incremental market (AIM) pipeline expansion project. Spectra Energy could start construction of the AIM project as early March 2015. After that Spectra Energy will be on track to push for similar pipeline expansion projects, including the Atlantic Bridge and Access Northeast. The health and safety of our citizens as well as the protection of our environment should be our top priority. KIRBY DELAUTER MUST GO!KIRBY DELAUTER has a history of angry, threatening outbursts against county employees, citizens, fellow elected officials and the press. KIRBY DELAUTER's recent threats to take legal action against a newspaper reporter for merely printing his name (KIRBY DELAUTER) in the paper, undermines the notion of freedom of the press. His actions are an embarrassment to the good people and good name of Frederick County, MD. The incident by KIRBY DELAUTER has caused embarrassment to all the citizens of Frederick County, MD. We ask for the immediate resignation of KIRBY DELAUTER as a Frederick County Councilman.216 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Derek Schaible

Make school loans consolidation easier for students to repayI can't refinance my house. I can't buy a brand new car. I can't get low interest rates on anything, all because I have many school loans that I signed and co-signed for myself, my niece and my two children. I am unable to consolidate because so many loan collectors are involved with the process. Not any of them knows exactly how to help with the consolidation of those loans. I don't know where to go and who to ask for assistance. My finances are ruined!158 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Bernadette Louis

CONGRESS AND SENATE MUST PAY INTO SOCIAL SECURITYIn their first day of convening, the US Congress is proposing to cut SS and Disability Benefits by 20%. They must change the Law so that they are also required to pay into a System that the rest of America contributes to. This action would be a positive impact in funding our SS Program. Their job is to represent of the Will of The People. It is TIME for us now, to DEMAND that the same Laws apply to them as the rest of America.253 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Vivian Poirier

NO CHANGES TO SOCIAL SECURITY OR MEDICARESocial Security and Medicare are programs necessary for older Americans. Americans paid for their Social Security benefit. Congress is not giving us a gift! There is a very easy solution to fix S.S. permanently by simply raising the cap. Everyone should pay on 100% of their salaries. Furthermore, Social Security does not add one cent to the deficit! Medicare must remain as it is, because without it, older Americans will not be able to afford the Medicare premium with or without a voucher. There are no "for profit" insurance companies willing to insure older, sick Americans. These essential programs are necessary to insure America's older citizens do not have to live in poverty!753 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Monica Goodrich
