Lyme disease affects 300,000+ people however only a little over 30,000 cases are officially reported. Many of these individuals have long term effects even after treatment. The Lyme community has called for more effective testing and treatment over the past 30 years, but that request has fallen on deaf ears. They are told that testing and treatment is effective even though research indicates otherwise. Change needs to happen, lives are depending on it. Sign this open letter and make a difference.

America is failing in our fight to stop the Coronavirus pandemic. That’s because Donald Trump is a dangerous and narcissistic president who surrounds himself with people who tell him what he wants to hear. As a consequence, the U.S. Coronavirus death toll is far higher than it could have been. Many thousands of people have died because of Trump’s bogus claims and war against science. Scott Atlas is not an epidemiologist nor an infectious disease expert. But he does appear a lot on Fox News. Atlas even told notorious Fox News host Tucker Carlson, “There's no real good science on [the] general population, widespread in all circumstances, wearing masks.” This kind of bogus analysis is killing thousands of people across the United States. Atlas is a fellow at the conservative Hoover Institution at Stanford. The Hoover Institution is funded by right-wing foundations and donors who have an anti-government agenda. The Hoover Institute's director is former Bush adviser Condoleeza Rice. We must stop right-wing fringe voices like Scott Atlas and push for a rational public health strategy that stops the pandemic and protects the lives of people across our country. Specifically, this legislation will: ● Require adequate transparency and approval around voting changes, including any attempts to deny voting rights or impose overtly stringent requirements for voters. ● Strengthen federal oversight and accountability around proposed changes to election procedures, particularly around specific measures and in specific jurisdictions that have a record of voter suppression. ● Grant the Attorney General authority to request federal observers be placed where racist threats to voting are prevalent. ● Ensure that “racial minority groups, language minority groups, or minority groups on Indian land” are not prevented from voting due to practices such as changing boundaries, voting locations or voter registration rolls. Darrius Stewart was an unarmed 19-year-old backseat passenger rider in a vehicle on the night of July 17, 2015, when former Memphis, TN officer Connor Schilling falsely detained him for not having any identification. Schilling drove Darrius to a church on Winchester Rd. where he brutally beat him, shot him twice in the chest & once in the back while in handcuffs outside of the church. Schilling's dashcam mysteriously disappeared, video surveillance camera footage from street lights, surrounding businesses surveillance footage, etc., weren't included in Darrius Stewart's Murder Case. Witnesses cells phones with video recordings of Schilling killing Darrius on 7/17/15 were taken by MPD & videos were edited, erased, etc., witnesses statements tampered with & documents altered throughout the investigation. Every year going on five years Darrius Stewart's Civil Lawsuit Case has been postponed without my knowledge or consent. This year the lawsuit was refiled in February 2020 against Connor Schilling without my consent leaving the city of Memphis, TN off of it. Why would I agree to refile a lawsuit against Schilling & leave his former employer ( The city of Memphis ) out? I asked why the city of Memphis, TN wasn't added on this new civil suit, I was told that ship had sailed. What? I asked them to file an amendment in order to get the city of Memphis, TN back on the civil lawsuit, I haven't heard from anyone since. My son was killed in cold blood & there's a cover-up that's been going on for too long to keep the truth about his death hidden. Darrius Stewart's entire murder/civil case needs to be reinvestigated, reopened, & heard within a courtroom. This is a miscarriage of Justice

This is a longstanding pattern of Reid’s, who has spread anti-Muslim bigotry on her blog in the past and continues to do so on her platform on MSNBC today.

The U.S. military is targeting kids as young as 13 while they play video games online. This is a blatant violation of military recruiting laws, which prohibit recruiting people under the age of 16, and is an insidious practice targeting young people who are vulnerable to abusive online advertising. Younger people have not had a chance to develop the skills to properly evaluate the claims of recruiters critically and are vulnerable to manipulation, particularly online. We must act to protect kids in the places they go online so they are not subject to illegal and unethical recruiting practices. I feel this star would shine a lil more than the rest of stars we see in Hollywood. The courage,motivation, and pure determination he had during his fight with cancer just to show the world his talent is something to be seen,learned from and honored.

Donald Trump is planning to visit Kenosha, WI on September 1, 2020 to “meet with local law enforcement and survey damage from the recent riots.” Donald Trump is not concerned about our state or city that is still reeling from recent tragedy and working to find a way forward. Trump's visit to Kenosha is merely a political ploy and a photo opportunity that only further jeopardizes the healing of Kenosha and the State of Wisconsin. Donald Trump has shown no regard for the Black lives of our City and State or for Jacob Blake and the Blake family, who are in immense pain, yet are calling for healing and peace. Using the open wound of Kenosha to benefit his political campaign is abhorrent, unethical and divisive. As citizens of Kenosha and/or of the State of Wisconsin, we do not choose to be or give consent to be used in this way.

Music venues not only provide entertainment and a gathering place, they also improve their communities and help heal the pain so many are dealing with during these extraordinary times. Every citizen has the right to expect all politicians to uphold the laws of the United States of America especially the national campaign laws. If one party is allowed to utilize federal property and taxpayer dollars to improperly fund their campaigns and conventions, the entire system which should be based on merit and independence will be disrupted.

Recently there has been a statue built of Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Sojourner Truth in Central Park. I love the theme of showing strong historic women, but Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Stanton though well known suffragists were blatantly racist. Both women only advocated for white women’s right to vote even going so far as to say that black men did not deserve the right to vote because white women didn’t have it. However, Ida B. Wells was also a suffragist and so much more. America rarely teaches about the BIPOC history of our country. Ida B. Wells was a Black suffragist as well as one of the founders of the NAACP, an organization that is still around today. The NAACP has continuously fought for the equal rights of African Americans both politically and socially for over 100 years. Wells was also an anti-lynching campaigner and cited it as America’s national crime. A statue of her would help educate people on her contribution to history and end the stigma that only white history and the white experience matters and is correct. Which is something that we need to see more of in light of the BLM movement.
