When our nation was founded, we had pounds, shillings and pennies where: 1 shilling = 12 pennies, and 1 pound = 20 shillings. It was very complicated. You divide by 12 and 20, carry, to add numbers. Our nation adopted decimal currency where 1 dollar = 100 cents. When our nation was founded, we had inches, feet, yards, fathoms, miles, etc. where: 1 foot = 12 inches, 1 yard = 3 feet, and 1 mile = 63360 inches. Today, we still use this old world legacy system. We need to bring our weights and measures up to the twenty first century. Congress should finally pass legislation to finish the metric conversion, stalled in the 1980s.

People are forced to utilize this service when the unfortunate event of injury occurs on the job, they have no other alternative. My experience with this agency was fraught with incompetence, inattention to detail, disrespectful treatment, discrimination, operating outside their scope of practice by rendering medical opinions they are not qualified or licensed to render, and negligence. They committed a privacy breach, releasing unauthorized personal information to a party that could have resulted in a detrimental outcome. When this was brought to their attention I was treated with obstinance, not with the concern befit my issue. At every turn I was confronted with obstacles, delays, and utter disregard for the predicament they placed me in causing extreme distress. I even requested and was denied a meeting with the Governor to discuss the glaring issues that exist within this agency and how it relates to workers in the State of Washington. This agency is ill equipped to handle the sensitive nature of worker’s healthcare needs. The fact that they are not regulated in the same manner as other businesses providing like services is concerning. Story after horror story has come to my attention as I talk with others about their experience dealing with this agency. Please help protect the rights, privacy, health and well being of Washington State worker's by signing this petition to privatize Washington State Department of Labor and Industries Worker's Compensation Insurance.

When we entrust police officers with power to protect and serve us we should be treated with respect and when that power is abused, those officers should be held accountable. Dozens of residents will lose their homes and several businesses will be shuttered in hopes of possibly shaving a few seconds of L riders' daily commutes. There are other less costly solutions for adding capacity without causing such long-term destruction to the neighborhood.

If Senator John McCain had his way, we'd be arming ISIS in Syria and fighting them on-the-ground after they cross over the border into Iraq. It's enough to make you wonder why television news shows have him on so often. It's not that there shouldn't be voices critical of the president on Sunday shows, but a bit of diversity from the McCain-Graham view of more war, everywhere, would be nice. In 2013, John McCain made twenty-five appearances on various Sunday network talk shows. That's enough for an individual who has just about exhausted his last measure of credibility on these issues. My daughter goes to school and I feel that she is being treated unfairly and bullied just because she is half Mexican. We moved out of the state we used to live in because in first grade she was seen as trash and bullied so bad that we moved. Now we are in another state where she is now in the second grade. Another thing that made us move is that every time my husband drove my daughter to and from school due to the fact I worked outside the home, he was being pulled over by Police and receiving ticket after ticket. The tickets he received alone were too much for me to pay. That did not include the tickets I received when we traveled together on my days off to spend family time outside of the town we lived in. It was too much for us to handle so we moved out of state. I would like to change that.

Mr Dietl's views on two recent shootings have been solicited by Fox news Network. The shootings of subject were those of Trayvon Martin and most recently Mike Brown (both young men of color). Mr. Dietl's views on the incidents have been quite insensitive and display a huge lack of knowledge of a large enough segment of your customer base. My question is does Arby's view of these incidents match those of Mr. Dietl? If not why is Mr. Dietle still in your employ?

The Cost of living is going up every year and the price of food is sky high. You can't live on 7.85 an hour as the minimum wage .

Because Americans are guaranteed a right, and duty, in our constitution to stand up to and overthrow tyrannical governments. I hope it never comes to that, but if it does, it would be impossible to do with a militarized police force.

We are at a critical juncture in our history as a people. Therefore, we have a choice to make between the past and the future. If we want a better Haiti for our children and our children's children, it is imperative that we rally behind PM Lamothe. Otherwise, Lavalas will win the National Palace, and they will take the country back to the dark era of Pelebren, dechoukaj, arrogant ignorance, lawlessness, organized crimes, muzzling of the press, etc...

The Arctic is a special place: inhabited by creatures like polar bears and whales, full of magnificent vistas, and home to people who maintain the traditions of their ancestors. For millennia, it has remained untouched by oil-drilling or industrial fishing. But as the ice melts from climate change, that special status is at risk. Multinational corporations like Shell are chomping at the bit to be the first to exploit this amazing area. That's why I'm asking you to do something a little different for the Arctic.
