Crawford County R-II Schools Need to be "Nut-Free"There are a couple children who attend Crawford County R-II school(s) that have a life threatening allergy to nuts. If providing a "nut-free" environment is impossible, then please help push for the proper training of the staff to provide a "nut-aware" environment for these children. Proper cleaning supplies need to be used, all children who consume nut products must wash hands with soap and water afterwards, and all staff needs to be trained on how to properly handle a severe allergic reaction if one was to occur.114 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Shay

Change the Minimum Student Age on the FAFSA from 25 to 21.My name is Francis Barbour Jr. and my father has refused to supply his tax transcripts to my FAFSA because his wife (my step-mother) doesn't like me. I have filed taxes myself for the past three years, and haven't lived with him for eight years, but am unable to continue attending my university because I require his tax information on my financial aid application. I have a 3.5 GPA, have two years left on my degree, and have lost out on my scholarships because of this issue.33 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Francis Barbour Jr.

Eliminate Systemic Pesticides from Food CropsThere are no long term safety studies that prove systemic pesticides are safe for humans and feed animals. Certain studies done in other countries have shown harm from these chemicals to animals, however, we in the US do no independent studies outside of those done by the companies with vested financial interests in the products. Such use/practices call for the Precautionary Principle to stop such use until studies and peer review of the studies can take place.63 of 100 SignaturesCreated by janet oconnell

Bad FaithWe want Petitioner's to share their own experiences, to help build a better understanding about how the industry is actually working and how it can be improved. We look forward to hearing from you. Most people have to handle an insurance claim once every several years. They are generally at a huge disadvantage when it comes to understanding the system and how insurance companies work. Through this petition we hope to level the playing field to force insurance companies to deal fairly with their policy holders.52 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Joseph Dorfman

Challenge Joni Ernst to the People's PledgeThe Huffington Post just leaked recordings of a secret talk that Senate candidate Joni Ernst gave at the exclusive, closed-door meeting that Charles and David Koch hosted for as many as 300 billionaires earlier this summer.[1,2] She never meant for anyone other than those billionaire conservatives to hear or see this: "The exposure to this group and to this network and the opportunity to meet so many of you, that really started my trajectory." I was born and raised in Iowa, and I think it's time to clean up Iowa's elections. Senate candidate Bruce Braley can do that by challenging Joni Ernst to join him in signing the People's Pledge--the popular agreement negotiated by Elizabeth Warren and Scott Brown in their 2012 Senate race to keep elections clean and accountable to the people of their state by rejecting advertisements from outside donors on their behalf. Support for the People's Pledge is strong across party lines-- in fact, voters are five times more likely to vote for a candidate who supports the People’s Pledge.[3] A candidate who's more committed to Iowa's voters than to out-of-state donors should have no trouble signing on. As Ernst credits the Koch network for her rise, Braley challenging her to shun outside money will help voters understand who each candidate is really working for. Sources: 1. Non-lethal weapons for police on PatrolI am starting this petition to save lives and to make the country safer and more just for my daughter and myself and everyone. This is my home. I don't want to have to move to England, where I don't have to worry about as much gun violence. This is a fight to make our homeland a better place without running to a gated community or suburbs or a safer city.35 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ramon J. Masuda

Add More UTK Commuter ParkingWe commuter students pay hundreds of dollars for a parking permit just to drive to a campus with inadequate parking, causing many to be late to class and unnecessary stress. There are not enough parking spaces to serve the majority of the commuter students, even though UT's transportation department reels in millions of dollars a year from parking passes alone. This petition is to raise awareness to the chancellor and other UT administration about the dire need to create more parking for commuter students.844 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Chantel Harris

Remove Centerplate CEO Des HagueDesmond Hague, the CEO of stadium food services company Centerplate, was recently seen on video kicking a friends dog repeatedly and holding the dog off the ground by its leash. http://www.bayareasportsguy.com/49ers-issue-statement-regarding-centerplate-ceo-abusing-dog-video/ Centerplate has the food concessions at multiple sports venues across the US and Canada, including Levi's Stadium (Forty Niners) and AT&T Park (Giants). Animal abuse is inexcusable and reprehensible. Although Jed York released a statement condemning Hagues actions, we believe it doesn't go far enough. We request the Forty Niners demand that Centerplate remove Hague as CEO or be considered in breach of their contract with the Stadium and the Team, for bringing negative attention of the worst sort to teams using this company. If the Team cannot take direct action against Centerplate, we --the fans -- will boycott Stadium food services, until Centerplate replaces this abuser with another CEO and fires Desmond Hague.241 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Zack Greene

JUSTICE for #DillonTaylor, 11 August 2014 #RIP!We are starting this petition because "We The People" of the United States of America are tired of our youth, elderly, and disabled being gunned down on our streets by a police state that is hell-bent on our destruction via control and is rooted in hatred toward a race, culture, or class of people that they deem unfit. IT IS WRONG and it must be stopped! We The People of the United States of America stand for love, justice, peace and freedom. We expect our police to do the same and when they step out of that mode or vein, which is the essence of Protect and Serve, THEN We The People of the United States of America have every right to call them and call our public servants to an account for that lack or disregard altogether. Thank you in advance for adding your name to this cause. Be well. Peace. Link: http://fox13now.com/2014/08/25/dozens-protest-death-of-dillon-taylor-shot-by-slc-police-officer/ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: 03 June 2015 For all of those that say, "they got what was comin' to um!" OR "they got what they deserved, in the end." I offer this in loyal contrarian opposition. Meet Dillion D. Taylor, 20 years old, of South Salt Lake City, UT. MURDERED by Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office and Salt Lake City Police Department like a dog in the parking lot of an 7-Eleven Convenience Store in South Salt Lake, Utah on August 11, 2014 - mere days after Michael O.D. Brown, Jr. of Ferguson, Missouri was MURDERED, himself, like a dog in the streets by #DarrenWilson. Exhibit A. Video (GRAPHIC, Fare Warning, DO NOT Watch this Video With Children under 10 years of age!) of his killing on 11 August 2014, over reported 'brandishing of a weapon on the streets': https://youtu.be/01ZwvYqMRhQ Exhibit B. The 'powers that be' for this community say that said murdering was 'justifiable homicide' and it couldn't be avoided. Even though Dillon Taylor, again just 20 years old, never produced nor were police able to find a weapon, a gun, that was said to be on a person, 'fitting his description', 'of interests' in the area brandishing a weapon at passers by and motorists in the area. No, and instead, Dillon D. Taylor, his big brother, and a cousin were coming out of a 7-Eleven store after having bought Slurpees, sodas and, snacks. Can you imagine? MURDERED like a dog in the street over clearly 'mistaken identity' and having a Slurpee and a sour patch whip in your hands. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/06/03/1390285/-Shocking-new-video-shows-unarmed-Utah-man-was-listening-to-headphones-when-killed-by-police?detail=facebook_sf I would very, very, very much like for you all to READ. SIGN. AND THEN SHARE this #petition with ALL IN YOUR CIRCLES folks. Because Dillon D. Taylor, 20, had his whole life ahead of him, and in an instant, in a moment, that whole life was taken from him, and the officers that did it didn't even give him a chance to produce anything but his headphones.
