I am asking the President, the US Congress, and local congresspersons to accept the fact that the ability to eat and talk is integral to one's healthcare. Teeth are not extraneous appendages, like hair. They are part of the alimentary process; therefore, Medicare ought to be involved in dental care for adults (children may be covered in other ways). Many of us cannot come close to affording the charges that specialty dentists charge, nowadays. I have trouble eating , digesting, and talking. Thanks for your attention to this matter. Update: Now , I have 10 missing teeth, and a recent extraction. I found another dentist, and have good credit. But what about those who have zero funding? The problem still must be addressed.

I am starting this petition because this practice is appalling. Imagine chopping the leg off a farm animal and throwing it back out in the field to suffer and die of blood loss or infection.

I want the United States of America to recognize and act on the fact(s) that "felons" are everyday being discriminated against when seeking employment. I know employers have the right to hire whom they please and may, but it is ridiculous when the employer wants to hire you, but the headquarters of that company tells the employer not to hire you. I want the President along with the House of Representatives (both Republican and Democrat) to all come together and create a solution to this problem. I am not alone in this situation. As a youth I never predicted I would become a man with two felonies, but I am as of today and for the rest of my life. There are many felons here in America. Life is nearly hopeless as a felon. I have been turned down from jobs with Wal-Mart, Target, and many other great jobs I sought to re-integrate me, only because of my background check. I never understood these truths until I became a felon myself. Why do they (felons) end up back in prison? Hardly anyone wants to hire a felon, and if they do they are not willing to pay them enough to survive. This is a matter that has NOTHING TO DO WITH COLOR. I want to see justice done here. I want the EMPLOYMENT DISCRIMINATION to end. Felons are still human beings. The only difference between a felon and a non-felon is at least you know what the felon's struggles are. There is no deadline for this petition I am creating. I just hope this can be the beginning of this movement and hopefully end with a change in the employment field. I am starting this petition because the environment is important to me. The Arctic is a beautiful area that is home to many animals, and it needs to be protected.

It offends me to see our country espousing values that we purport to have, but then casting them aside for CHILDREN. As a nation of immigrants, we are btter than this.

Fresh water to preserve the ecological health of the Bay Delta and other sensitive ecosystems can only vanish at an ever-accelerating rate with global climate change. Foolish wasteful unthinking practices of water use MUST be replaced by thoughtful, CONSERVATIVE use of our resources. If we cannot change, the entire state will become a desert and the oceans, deprived of fresh water inflow, will become saline to the point of toxicity. There is another way.

For far too long, the Mohegan Tribal Council has denied legitimate heirs their birthright and documented Indian heritage and lineage due to power and greed.
