Corporations are controlling our government through buying our elections and enough is enough, its is time to call on our State Officials to demand a Constitutional Convention that would result in a 28th Amendment making all elections publicly funded, and over-turn Citizens United.

This is certainly not what we need to be doing. Instead, the administration should be announcing federally subsidized rebates for solar panels and a revenue-neutral carbon tax. We do not need to rely on oil. Solar energy is a much cleaner, safer solution. Have you ever heard of a solar spill? Will you let your child build a sand castle next to an oil spill? It is time for positive change. It is time to stand up to protect our oceans and our environment. Our children are counting on us. As are the sea mammals.

The Roseway neighborhood in Portland, Oregon has recently learned of your plans to build a drive-thru pharmacy at 7040 NE Sandy Blvd. We already have two full-service pharmacies within one block of this location, making this a clear case of market saturation. We are also a growing neighborhood, looking to create a pedestrian, cycling and transit friendly future. Your plans for a drive-thru are contrary to the kind of development that neighbors will support.

Roseway neighbors are concerned about the impact the signals at this major intersection are having on the safety of our neighborhood streets. At rush hour, streets on both the north and the south sides of Fremont and Sandy are experiencing high speed cut-through traffic as commuters attempt to avoid the lengthy vehicle back-up at this intersection. In addition, pedestrians who wish to visit local businesses, or simply navigate the intersection, experience long wait times at each crossing.

Roseway neighbors are eager to continue to develop a neighborhood center that encourages walking, biking and transit use. Walgreens is planning to build a one story, stand-alone, drive-thru pharmacy at this location, moving us further away from Portland's goal of enhancing livability, preserving distinctive places and planning for a resilient future. Under the new Comprehensive Plan, in 2016, a drive-thru will no longer be allowed. Why let Walgreens build one now? Please help Roseway neighbors encourage the kind of responsible growth that makes Portland a great place to live.

I think if my animal has the ability to run my whole back yard on a 50 foot runner verses being stuck in the house all day I think I as a person should have that choice

Spencer Bowens was given a Life sentence and after 16 years, U.S. Supreme Court decisions overturning the validity of his conviction , Congress changes and the U.S. Sentencing Commission changes, Spencer Bowens is still in federal Prison. We must take action to change the unjust and harsh sentences!

Melissa Ryan and Micheál Keane are widely-loved members of the progressive community. But recently, rumors have circulated that they may cave to the corporate, right-wing 'Not Las Vegas' special interests. We can't let that happen. Together, progressives must make sure Melissa and Micheál keep their backbone and hold their wedding in beautiful Las Vegas.

So many of our youth have made bad decisions as minors that has lead to several years of incarceration. Most are 1st time offenders that have been given the maximum time allowed for the crimes. Like Omar Tillis who was only 19 years old at the time of his conviction. While spending years in jail becoming just another number. Having spent his youth in an environment with adults. He has proven to be a model inmate. When released into society he will be a model citizen with the love and support of his family. Many times these young men are over looked. This happen with my brother. He is now deceased. I want to make a difference so that this young man can come home to his family where he has the love and support to continue being a model citizen in our community.

Children are precious, and they have to be protected against all forms of injustice. He should not be allowed to hear any case involving humans.
