I am a veteran and the last hospital and doctor I want to go to is a veterans hospital and doctor. Would you want to? Why should veterans be forced to go to obsolete hospitals? Why shouldn't they have a right to choose? Why would we make our veterans wait months to be diagnosed or treated? You wouldn't tolerate it. It's not right and it's not what was intended when the Veterans Hospitals were established. The veterans were supposed to get the best doctors and hospitals, not the worst. This idea of using a well-established, proven system makes common sense and it is ready to roll NOW. No years of development. No kinks to work out. Let's get it done now ...not 5 years from now!

Maryland is defined by its incredible scenic beauty and awesome natural heritage, from the Bay to our beautiful family farms, forests, and historic communities. But our treasured places and families are threatened by shale gas drilling (“fracking”), a destructive and dangerous practice that we must keep out of Maryland. Fracking next door in Pennsylvania has left a trail of ravaged forests, polluted streams, sickened families, and contaminated water supplies in its wake. And now big oil and gas companies like Halliburton and Exxonmobil are pressing to force Maryland to let them do the same thing here.

Thousands of innocent dogs/puppies and cats/kittens are senselessly euthanized every year due to overpopulation and overcrowded shelters in Georgia. Please help end this horrific epidemic by petitioning our state government to make it mandatory that all Georgia residents spay/neuter their pets.

Superintendent of Newark Public Schools has created a large scale plan without meaningful and credible engagement of the Newark community. Cami Anderson has lost the support of Newark residents including parents, students, the Newark Municipal Council, the Board of Education, Newark's mayor-elect, community organizations and 77 concerned Ministers and clergy. Poor planning, scandalous fiscal mis-management ($15,000-$60,000 or 80% salary increases to Cami's inner circle) and the destruction of community schools, demand that the One Newark Plan be halted.

Just recently the swan river fishing access popular to many floaters was closed due to complaints from nearby residents about parking, traffic, garbage, noise, etc. the lake county commissioner has closed it down and posted no trespassing signs. Although I do sympathize with the residents, this is a public spot. Instead of trying to sweep the problem under the rug, I'm asking the commissioner to address the problem head on and put in much needed additional parking. There is another petition going around to keep it closed. Last count they had 58 signatures. They are going for 100. My goal is 1000. My guess is this number will be reached very fast. What are you? A snowbird or a local. Please forward this to anyone you know that has enjoyed the luxury of this amazing place!

I have been plagued with hurt. It is a hurt like nothing I have ever experienced before and a situation that has consumed my life.

United forced passengers to remain on the tarmac for hours, unable to use the plane's clogged restrooms and with no food left, simply because they still hoped to make their scheduled stop in Denver. When passengers finally disembarked in Pueblo, United abandoned them without explanation. The Pueblo Police and Colorado State University were heroes who took up this task, providing food, transportation and lodging, and should be reimbursed.

We never should have interfered in Iraq years ago. I believe the 3 tribes in Iraq should determine their own destiny. Too many Americans have already died there.

I attended Mysteryland USA and had the best time of my life. I love drum and bass and jungle as do many people across the globe. I talk to my friends and a lot of them say, "I would go, but I want more jungle," "more drum and bass." It doesn't hurt to ask! It is time to restore our representative democracy. Today 87% of Americans are deeply troubled by the corrupting influence of money in politics. Our elected officials no longer represent the people who vote for them, they represent their donors. We need to get money out of politics, and the biggest step is overturning the 'Citizens United' supreme court case and banning corporations from contributing to elections. To do that, we need our state legislature to call for a constitutional convention. Vermont has already called for a convention, and California isn't far behind. Connecticut should join them. Tell your elected officials you want a constitutional convention to get money out of our politics.

The Badger-Two Medicine is important to Montanans, locally and throughout the region, as a place to sustain cultural traditions, hunt, fish, hike and admire. Pristine and ancient, home to original flora and fauna, the Badger-Two Medicine is a treasure. There have been tremendous accomplishments achieved in the campaign to protect this landscape. But it is still vulnerable. Oil and gas developers, motorcycles and ATVs all threaten to scar “The Badger” permanently.
