Not for Human EntertainmentWe must do the right thing by putting an end to circuses that have wild animals, to teach our children the truth about circuses and kindness to all animals, and to speak out for wild animals in circuses. Don't believe the circus, they say wild animals love to perform and live healthy, safe lives. Facebook: Speak Out for Circus Animals358 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Martha Cecil

Keeping Our Children Safe in Anneewakee TrailsAnneewakee Trails subdivision is one of the largest subdivisions in Douglas County, GA, with hundreds of our children attending school throughout Douglas County daily. Our children's safety should be our top priority, but vehicles parked along the roadways, in addition to speeding vehicles, are an increased hazard to our children's safety and should be stopped. Commissioner Kelly Robinson has proposed coordinating with the Board of Education to designate NO PARKING ZONES for bus stops, and to partner with the Department of Transportation, to install speed humps throughout the community.108 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Makalah Atkinson

A ZONING LAW FOR HOUSTON TO PROTECT WILDLIFE AND PEOPLEYES, I HAVE LIVED IN ONE HOUSE 58 YEARS. THIS IS A SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING GROUP OF SEVERAL THOUSAND HOMES. THE AREA NEXT TO US WAS UP FOR A WONDERFUL ZONING LAW ELECTION MANY YEARS AGO. SPECIAL INTERESTS HIRED LAWYERS TO DEFEAT THE PROPOSAL OF NO BUSINESSES WITH SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLINGS IN THAT AREA. WE LOST. NOW THAT AREA IS CRIME-RIDDEN AND BUSINESSES, WHICH ARE NIGHT CLUBS AND MUCH WORSE. INSTEAD OF REMAINING THE BEST PLACE TO LIVE, WE ARE THE WORST. MY HOME REALLY LOST VALUE. WE HAD PARK AREAS FOR WILD LIFE THAT NEVER WERE REALIZED.49 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Catherine Anton

Stillwater Approved Recycling-Yet the Streets are littered with TrashMy daughter and I walk to school daily and step over glass bottles and condoms in the yards we have to go through. That trash blows into the neighboring businesses and just stays. We pick up what we are able to but sometimes more than just one family is needed to help.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Moriah Nelson

Disclose influence and source of LegislationLegislation is often crafted by lobbyists for special interest and introduced by members of Congress without any vetting. This is due to the fact that they feel indebted to the lobbyists for their election funding. Also their staff is overworked and frequently does not review what is being proposed.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jack Tawfik

Ban the BoxOne out of every 12 people you know is a convicted felon and must check the "yes" box on applications. This question allows application screeners to discriminate against felons regardless of their rehabilitation status.231 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Intro to Prison 12.0

Ban the Bomb TrainsDue to the boom in hydrofracking, oil and gas companies have a glut of product to transport to refineries on the coasts of America. They are transporting this highly volatile, explosive crude over antiquated rail lines in tank cars designed to carry corn syrup and molasses. The federal government reports that last year, more than 1.15 million gallons of crude oil leaked and spilled from rail tank cars. That's more than was spilled in all the previous forty years! Top federal rail administrator Karl Alexy recently stated that it is impossible to "design a rail car strong enough to withstand crude oil rail train accidents ..." In August, 2013, forty-seven innocent people were incinerated when these cars derailed and exploded in Lac Megantic, Quebec. It's expected to cost billions to rebuild Lac Megantic and compensate the victims, but the railroad and the crude oil owner have "gone out of business." In December, 2013, a 106-car crude oil train derailed in Castleton, North Dakota. Eighteen tank cars exploded; the fired burned for two days. On April 30, 2014, six DOT-111 rail cars of a virtual pipeline of crude derailed and exploded in Lynchburgh, Virginia, burning for hours and polluting the water supplies for thousands of people. These DOT-111 rail cars were declared unsafe and hazardous by US and Canadian railroad officials in 2011, yet they are still carrying millions of gallons of explosive crude oil through unsuspecting and helpless communities all across the United States, every day. This is wrong. President Obama can use his authority under last March's Executive Order to halt this unprecedented and unnecessary risk today. Let's make this happen before another person dies in flames.371 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Susan Weber
