After the 2007 economic crash, my 40 year old son lost his supervisor job in Phoenix. He has had to work two minimum wage jobs since then.

My son is affected by low wages from Walmart. He has trouble paying his bills and just getting by with groceries. Rep. Coffman should sign the bill to give thousands of Americans a raise! The working people in America deserve it.

California is the only place in the world where oil companies can come, drill, and extract oil without paying a dime in royalties. I am starting this petition to improve our economy. Higher wages give workers more $$$ to spend and buy products thus creating more jobs. Rep. Mica and other republican politicians probably get large donations from big corps like Wal-mart to block living wages for their workers so that they can make higher profits and buy more influence in Washington.

As a long-time voter in RI I have often spent hours standing in lines at polling places. Now a retiree, it's not that hard on me but for working people who must take time off a job or spend a lot of time at night, this bill would prompt many more to vote. I am the victim of a crime and I am not seeing justice. I was raped four months ago and Paterson Police Department has informed me my case is inactive. Past filing the initial report I have NOT been able proceed with my case! Make these men and women start pushing those papers and get my case moving! I want JUSTICE, I want these men STOPPED!!! October 31st into Nov 1st was when the event took place at a local bar in Paterson. On Nov 1st I went to St Joseph's Regional Hospital to have a rape kit performed and make an unofficial statement to police. On Nov 2nd Detective Patterson contacted me for the first and LAST time to try to schedule a date for me to make my official statement. He ended the call saying "I will call you before the end of the week to try and work around our schedules and get you in to make a statement". Since then I have called personally well over 20 times. My grandparents recently got in touch with a detective who states my assigned detective was demoted to traffic patrol and before he was demoted he marked my case as inactive. Now it is sitting stagnant with NO assigned detective and they supposedly are waiting for my rape kit results STILL! The Sane nurse said it would take two to three WEEKS not FOUR MONTHS!!!! HELP ME STOP THESE MEN! They have raped other women and will continue to do so unless STOPPED!!!!!

I see Rep. Sean Duffy's constituents in Wisconsin's 7th District working hard every day, but many are struggling desperately to support their families. They deserve a fair minimum wage.
