  • FIGHT BACK AGAINST BIG MONEY IN POLITICS
We must fight back against big money special interests and prevent super PACs and dark money interests from drowning out the voice of everyday Americans. One way to protect the voice of everyday Americans is by encouraging them to make small campaign contributions. Rep. Sarbanes' new Government by the People Act does this by matching small donations at a rate of $6 to $1, and by providing a $25 refundable tax credit for contributions.

  • Investigate Government Failures Pertaining to the Chemical Spill of Jan. 9 2014
We all pay taxes. In exchange for this, the government creates agencies which are designed to serve us and keep us safe. We have seen massive failures by these agencies, and demand that these failures are accounted for, and that responsible parties are replaced with competent individuals who will perform their duties in a fashion that will keep our community safe.

  • Representative Erik Paulsen: Support VOTING RIGHTS ACT
The Voting Rights Act is one of the most important pieces of civil rights legislation Congess has ever passed. Last year's Supreme Court decision weakened critical provisions of it. • Rep. Smith: Give every kid a fair shot at a quality education
Giving every kid access to high-quality preschool in Texas is a winning investment that levels the academic playing field for students [1] and boosts our economy in the short and long run. [2] Not only that, but this is an idea with bipartisan support. [3,4] The time is now for Rep. Smith to stand up for Texas kids who can’t afford to get into a good preschool classroom. • Rep. Coffman: Give every kid a fair shot at a quality education
Giving every kid access to high-quality preschool in Colorado is a winning investment that levels the academic playing field for students [1] and boosts our economy in the short and long run. [2] Not only that, but this is an idea with bipartisan support.[3,4] Despite the evidence, Rep. Mike Coffman doesn't currently support the Strong Start for America's Children Act which would expand access to preschool. The time is now for Rep. Coffman to stand up for Colorado kids who can’t afford to get into a good preschool classroom. Almost a thousand four year olds in his district are on waiting lists right now for public pre-school.
