Tell Rep. Ron Kind: Don't support Fast Track and TPPThe Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is nothing short of a disaster: It’s ruinous for our middle class, a huge step back for Internet freedom, and awful for human rights in the countries we trade with. Tragically, however, this new corporate "free" trade deal is a top priority for the White House and most Republicans. But here’s the thing: In order to pass the TPP, its supporters first need to pass "fast track" authority that would bypass the normal legislative process for trade deals like this one. According to the Huffington Post, Wisconsin’s own Congressman Ron Kind is the leading Democratic candidate to champion this horrible legislation.1,263 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Erin Wagner, Progressives United

Ricardo shouldn't be torn apart from his family!Michelle will be forced to spend her 12th birthday saying good-bye to her Dad, instead of spending it with him and the rest of her family like most kids her age. That's because immigration officials in the Obama Administration have decided to deport Michelle's dad, Ricardo Ramos. He has until Thursday to leave, the very same day as her birthday. Ricardo has called Ohio his home for nearly two decades and has three U.S. citizen children, yet ICE officials want to tear his family apart by deporting him. If ICE officials go through with Ricardo's deportation, Ricardo's family will be devastated. He's a loving dad and is the sole breadwinner in the family, recently taking on a second job in a restaurant in addition to the 16 years he's spent working in local nurseries. When police pulled Ricardo over for driving without a license, they sent him to ICE officials. Friends and supporters got Ricardo's initial January 1, 2014 deportation date postponed, but now ICE officials have set a new date to deport him just a few days away. We need your help returning him to his family! Ricardo would likely qualify for the path to citizenship in the Senate immigration bill and President Obama's Administration shouldn't be pushing hardworking, taxpaying Americans like Ricardo for Speaker John Boehner's inaction. In fact, because President Obama supports the Senate's bill, he shouldn't be deporting immigrants like Ricardo at all. Please help Ricardo by asking ICE officials to exercise "prosecutorial discretion" and let Ricardo return home to his family where he belongs. They need you to act right now! Michelle shouldn't spend her birthday being torn away from her dad. Help Ricardo stay where he belongs, at home!3,278 of 4,000 SignaturesCreated by Matt Hildreth

A Maury County Tennessee Mom's BattleMy petition is about our court system not be educated enough to properly handle Child Custody cases, not taking the appropriate time to make determinations and therefore not doing what's in the best interest of our children.33 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Amy Marlene Thompson Fitzgerald

Bring Back Caffè al Teatro RistoranteMyself and past students that have studied at the Prato campus found a warm and welcoming home at Caffè al Teatro Ristorante. They were amazing to us and provided us with not only great Italian food but also a wonderful Italian experience. They catered to our every need without any hesitations and did all they could to make our semester a great one without asking for anything in return. At UNH we consider each other family and at the university we take care of our family members. Caffè al Teatro is family and they should be treated like it!84 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Michael Lanzetta

EPA - Prevent More Chemical SpillsThe EPA has the authority under the Clean Air Act to regulate the transportation and storage of toxic chemicals. The explosion in West, Texas was a tragic reminder of why these regulations are necessary. The latest chemical spill in West Virginia serves to reiterate that need. The EPA needs to act.139 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Sara Smith

Legalize Marijuana for Medical and Personal Recreational use in the State of OklahomaOklahoma is home to many intelligent and talented individuals. The legalization of marijuana for medical and personal use would shift an amazing economic boost for our state. Schools, roads, hospitals these are but a few things that are still in need of repair and /or reform. For years I have heard talk of how cutbacks, crackdowns, lotteries and casinos would bring revenue to our state and give us the means to fix these things, yet here we stand. With an absolute accomplishment of nothing to show. There are numerous positive facts and statements that can be made on marijuana and the many uses it holds. It's legalization could help get and keep Oklahoma a debt free and financially sound state. Aside from also helping to thin out correctional facility overcrowding and pioneering in cancer cures and being the most useful plant on the planet. Why would you not legalize? It is time to break the cycle of ignorance and fear, stand up, change the way the world sees and put your stamp on a whole new chapter in our futures past.2,086 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by C R Stottlemyre

16yr old boy's scrotum ripped by police during pat down. Female police officer should be FIRED!A 16-year-old charter school student says he was roughed up by Philadelphia Police so bad it sent him to the hospital-with possible injuries that could last a lifetime. We want to warn you some of the details of this story are graphic. 16-year-old Darrin Manning is still having trouble walking a week later. He suffered serious injuries to his genitals. He claims came at the hands of a Philadelphia Police officer during a recent arrest. "I think that was wrong. I think that was going overboard," Manning said. Manning, a sophomore at Mathematics, Civics and Charter School had just got off the subway with a dozen team mates in uniform on their way to play a high school basketball game. He says the group was confronted by police at broad and Girard. Exactly why the students were stopped and questioned is still unclear, but manning says he was put in handcuffs. he then says during a pat down a female officer squeezed his genitals so hard-it ruptured his testicle. "She patted me down again and felt her reach as she grabbed my butt and she grabbed and squeezed and pulled down and that's when I heard something pop," Manning said Hospital records show Manning spent night following his arrest at children's hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. His mother Ikea Coney says her son may have permanent injuries preventing him from fathering children. "The doctor told me you have to press charges and that just alarmed me," Coney said. Manning is now facing charges of aggravated assault and resisting arrest. "He doesn't deserve no felony he's not a bad child. He's not in the streets," Coney said. "I believe he was sexually assaulted" The founder of his school says she was with manning 10 minutes before the incident. She says this straight-A model student hasn't had a single discipline problem in his 3 year history at the school. "You shouldn't be able to do that to any child. But this is a 16-year-old and that the force that was used in his private area it's sort of concerning to me," Coney said. Police in the 22nd District tell FOX 29 they are looking into this case and perhaps launching an internal investigation in the next couple days.157 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Jean

Justice for Kelly Thomas! The case needs to be retried.I am just a normal law abiding citizen that happened to hear about the news of the man Kelly Thomas. I watched the ~30 minute raw video footage of the police officers beating Mr. Kelly Thomas. When the verdict was released today (1/13/14) on the news where the officers were found "Not Guilty" on all counts, I was completely shocked. I don't agree with the jurors' decision and that they must have missed some important facts that were witnessed in the video. The case must be retried.19 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Chris Bui
