The University of Arizona Medical Center's Shameful Hiring Record!I am a local activist who is concerned about community access to mental health services. I was shocked when I discovered the University of Arizona Medical Center (UAMC), the largest provider of behavioral and mental health in-patient care in Southern Arizona, doesn't have a single black physician working at its treatment facility. This shameful situation sends a clear message about which segment of the community the UAMC, a nationally recognized teaching institution, serves and which one it doesn't. Tell the National Institute of Health to stop giving millions of dollars in federal grants to the UAMC because its hiring record is inconsistent with a true commitment to serving all Southern Arizonans.51 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lola Rainey

28th Amendment - Remove Special Interests From WashingtonOur rights are not worth anything unless we are willing to stand up for them. The collective voice of our democratic process is under fire from special interests who are able to buy a much larger chair at the negotiating table. Their influence has become so strong, that the candidates WE are left with on election day are usually already bought and paid for. In effect, the election is more of a selection... because special interests have already provided us with THEIR candidates - and that is a BIG part of the problem. What's more, the influence of special interests in Washington has become so powerfully corrosive that it is the special interests themselves that write much of the legislation that is passed. There is also a revolving door and a very questionable conflict of interest for those firms who provide favorable employment to those politicians who cooperate after they leave office... often making hundreds of thousands of dollars. Before we can effectively tackle anything meaningful in this country, we have to make our voices heard again. Otherwise, even the best legislation will likely become corrupted by those who have the power and influence to profit from it. The rich and powerful have made their voices heard in Washington. The truth is the power has always resided within the masses of the people if we act together and make our voices heard. NOW IT'S OUR TURN.809 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by ProgressiveModerateParty

Remove Holocaust denial from AmazonThis example of corporate irresponsibility should not go unchecked. Many Holocaust survivors are deeply offended by the fact that the world's largest online retailer is make money from selling such material. Amazon's actions are supporting the rising tide of anti-Semitism in the US and world-wide.876 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Howard Brown

Legalize industrial hemp, medical marijuana, and recreational marjuana in OklahomaThis petition is being started because the time is now to get over these draconian laws against a plant that was once the number one cash crop in this nation. Its benefit as an industrial crop is well documented. As a medical alternative it is quickly becoming obvious that it is far more beneficial than harmful, and as a recreational drug, it is far safer(and less addictive) than any of the alternatives. The time is now. Stop the prohibition against this plant that is far too beneficial to be ignored any longer. Take a stand for the full legalization of cannabis, as an industrial crop, a medical alternative, and a recreational drug. Instead of locking people up, tax it, and apply that money to the betterment of our state.55 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Oklahoma Citizens For the Sane Application of Marjuana Laws

Extend Unemployment Benefits to More Than 1.3 million AmericansThese are people trying to do the best by their families. The only reason why they qualify for these benefits is that they have a work history. So you’re talking about people who’ve worked, who lost their jobs —through no fault of their own —and who are now actively looking for work.505 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Joshua Noehrenberg

President Obama: You have not stop the chemical Harassment in Minnesota and MarylandI live here in Minneapolis, MN in a senior building called Park Holmes Village. The chemicals came here from Montgomery, MD where the Police refused to stop the chemicals at Forest Oak Towers, a Senior Building, owned by the government. Park Holmes Village is a Senior building supported by the government, the same behavioral pattern exists here where the Manager and Management refuses to stop the harassers. The Police refuses to do a proper Investigation but threatens and abuses me. Other people are affected but do not know it is toxic fumes that causing the illnesses here. One harasser died here recently, several people were affected at Forest Oak Towers in Maryland and Ebenezer Park Apartments in Minnesota. The same thing is happening here where the Police refused to do an Investigation but threaten and abuse to stop the message that these chemicals attack the Nervous System to cause pain and disability plus focuses on any Vital Organ to disable and kill its victims. The behavioral pattern is that the second floor has tenants with chemicals to spray down to the lobby, community room hallways plus laundry room. The leader in under me in 110, he sprays all day and night , until I go to sleep, plus when I am asleep to disable me. I am only a messenger to report this terroristic act in a World Power country. Using chemicals to harm Human beings and animals is an terroristic act. This behavior must be stopped and a proper and covert Investigation must be done immediately to stop the networking and experiments of these chemicals. There was an terroristic act in Syria killing civilians with chemicals, stop this behavior here in America and get these chemicals to be tested and assessed to see what is causing pain and disability plus death among those that are vulnerable to these harmful substances. Maryland, Minnesota and Illinois are Democratic States of America. By neglecting to stop this behavior, it means supporting the creators of these chemicals to be successful as the Syrians and the Russians using chemicals to kill. You need to get chemical professionals to get these chemicals from one apartment, 110 Tom Hines, to stop it everywhere in Minneapolis, MN and everywhere in USA and the other countries of the World.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Polly Roopnarine

Speaker Boehner: LET THE HOUSE VOTE ON THE IMMIGRATION BILLBecause there is no way to force Speaker Boehner to allow a vote on this Bill, even though it has enough votes in the House to pass. Americans, including conservative economists, religious leaders, businesses and the AFL-CIO all support Immigration Reform. Good, hard working people can stay and we can identify the ones who should not be here through this law. Our country cannot wait any longer for economic, moral, and National Security reasons.260 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Susan Pai
