Support PA HB and SB 300The LGBT community is faced with discrimination for all public accommodations across PA. It is legal to fire someone for being lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender. Likewise, it is legal to deny someone credit, housing, service in a restaurant, a job or promotion, solely based on that individual's sexual identity. PA House Bill and Senate Bill 300 will fix the law to protect the LGBTQ community.706 of 800 SignaturesCreated by David Moore

Get jacob pratt in the militaryI have been personally discriminated from military service from my local MEPS office in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am a bisexual man and i have applied for the military , I was turned away for self injury from bullying and cyber bullying when i was 14 and was based on something that happened 10 years ago and they had let someone in who had also self injured. I was never offered a second chance and permanently denied. I even offered to pay for some medical services , the main medical personal personally said they would never let me in even if i had proof saying i was okay. i had spent over 400 dollars in medical expenses and they denied me or even to reimburse me for my money. Please help me get justice and to let me do the one thing I've wanted to do since i was 4 years old. i dont want to sue i dont want money, i just want to join the military and serve the country i love and am being deined from doing. Governor Haslam: Save the Historic Cordell Hull BuildingA historic state office building in Nashville, TN is at risk for being demolished. The Cordell Hull building, constructed in 1952-53, is named for a Tennessee statesman, Cordell Hull (1871-1955). Hull was the longest serving United States Secretary of State, serving for a total of 11 years from 1933 -1944 under President Franklin D. Roosevelt. In 1945, Hull received the Nobel Peace Prize for his role in establishing the United Nations. He was referred to by President Roosevelt as the “Father of the United Nations.” The 59 year old Cordell Hull State Office Building at 425 5th Avenue North, Nashville, 37247 is one of several limestone buildings that frame the State Capitol, holding a distinctive presence on the Capitol grounds. According to Tim Walker, Executive Director of Metro Nashville Historical Commission, the Cordell Hull building is one of the best examples of mid-century modern architecture in the State. Several of its hallways along with restrooms are lined with marble, some of which is so rare that it can no longer be found in Tennessee. The are several statues on the Cordell grounds that honor many other Tennesseans. The building is eligible for listing in the National Registry of Historic Places. The building survived the 1998 F5 tornado in downtown Nashville. The Cordell Hull building is in need of repairs as is any building its age. Governor Bill Haslam’s administration is recommending that the building be torn down. The destruction of this stately civic building would be a major architectural loss to Nashville, to the State and perhaps even to the United States. The administration’s rationale for removing the building along with rational for keeping the building is described in several articles: Nina Cardona, July 15, 2013; Nashville Public Radio | Historic Nashville Art You've Probably Never Seen To Be Mothballed Amid Demolition Gail Kerr, The Tennessean, July 3, 2013; Logic for tearing down Cordell Hull site is lame | The Tennessean | tennessean.com Phil Williams, News Channel5.com, June 17, 2013, NC5 Investigates: Questionable Contracts; Administration's Claims About Cordell Hull Questioned - NewsChannel5.com | Nashville News, Weather & Sports William Williams, The City Paper, January 28, 2013; Cordell Hull building faces closure, uncertain future | Nashville City Paper Wikipedia describes Cordell Hull, his life and his accomplishments in great detail. The article can be found at Cordell Hull - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia1,447 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Cornelia Pearson

Gov. Scott: Return The Contribution From A Mega-Donor Who Swindled VeteransBill Edwards is the largest individual donor to Scott’s 2014 re-election campaign outside of the governor’s own family. Justice For JeremiahThe state of Louisiana has convicted me falsely and wants to sweep it under ths rug quietly. I have until Aug. 3 to file in LSC or be remanded from my appeal bond. The court of appeals denied my new attorney to even participate in my appeal process. The corrupt DA Leon Cannizzaro used to sit on the bench as a judge in the same trial court and court of appeals in New Orleans, La. You can google how corrupt it is in New Orleans, La, take a look. The Dept. Of Justice has been telling Louisiana and New Orleans for over 10 yrs to do something to better its system, and it has refused. In 2011, the DOJ finally released a report forcing it to change. It is all documented, well known, and ignored for too long. I was caught up in the system without outside help, or money to afford representation. Several human rights violations, civil rights violations, and constitutional rights violations I can clearly show beyond a shadow of a doubt.15 of 100 SignaturesCreated by jeremiah strickland

Walmart: Reinstate all workers fired for their activismAmericans believe in speaking up when something’s wrong -- and the freedom to act together to make things right. But when we as Walmart workers came together to do just that, Walmart responded by firing and disciplining six workers at our store. It’s wrong for Walmart, America’s biggest company, to punish us for exercising our legally protected rights. I stood up with my coworkers, because I wanted to make Walmart a better place to shop and work. I just want to be able to support my family without relying on government assistance. Walmart responded by firing me, but my coworkers and I are still fighting for our rights.1,954 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Barbara Collins, Walmart Associate, for Courage Campaign

Bring Some Sanity to the "War on Drugs"The so-called "War on Drugs" has turned a public health problem into a multi-billion dollar taxpayer boondoggle. California State Senator Mark Leno's Senate Bill 649 would move California toward a smarter, humane, cost-effective justice system. It would reduce overcrowding in our prisons by allowing prosecutors to charge non-violent drug possession as a misdemeanor, rather than as a felony. SB 649 would free up funds currently supporting jails to be used for drug treatment instead. Studies show that in the 13 states that classify drug possession as a misdemeanor, treatment rates are higher and incarceration rates are lower, with no increase in crime.140 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Courage Campaign
