Marissa Alexander is a mother, a college graduate with a Masters Degree, and had no prior criminal record. This is a travesty that can be rectified and her life can be restored. SB 744 is not the best bill in the world but so many hardworking immigrants who have helped build our homes, construct and maintain our roads and bridges, and have taken care of our children, continue to live in fear. Violence is violence. The heir of the justice system (G.Z.) has committed other domestic crimes in the past. Zimmerman & other's like him have to be dealt with or the killing will continue...The courts cover up what they wanna cover up...they are the biggest criminals that allow other criminals to WALK!!!! I had brain surgery in October of 2011, and today I raise awareness on DOMESTIC VIOLENCE...This madness HAS GOT TO STOP. I believe the education has to start within the judicial system. There are many children, even those with special needs, that live on these streets. We do not want these speed bumps removed that might endanger the lives of one of our children.

One of the jurors in the George Zimmerman case has already made a book deal. Nobody should profit from the tragedy of another. I am not sure whether a different verdict would have made her book less saleable, but knowing you can make money could create a bias.
