Please allow GMO labeling on all foods. Let consumers choose.

Cavernous Angioma Bill 2013 House Version called H.R. 2521 and Senate Version called S.1223 is now before them. I have been waiting 14 years for this to occur! I have Multiple Cavernoma Syndrome, It is a rare disease and I have been thru 19 surgeries fighting for my life. I know at least with all I have been thru, I have had brilliant research scientist working endlessly trying to find a cure with all the tumors they have taken from me. I have recently had brain surgery and spinal cord surgery and worked extremely hard to walk again, even though I was told I would NOT.... Unfortunately, last month I was told I have new tumors right above the old location in my spine and more in pons, my risks are very high of being paralyzed from the neck down or the chest down from either new cavernoma....I will NOT sit and worry about this.. NO! I will get into fight mode, like usual. I will focus on the AMAZING news..... The researchers have a new medication that by the end of THIS YEAR ...YES THIS YEAR!! IF funding continues and once they receive FDA approval .... I will be one of the first Humans to be tested with this medication....scary yes, but I have hope, because this is showing amazing promise and it does not only STOP the growth of the original cavernoma, but PREVENT new ones from forming!!! THIS MEANS A CURE!!!!!!! this means a NEW GIFT OF LIFE for all of us suffering with this disease!!!! GMO foods are not labeled and are toxic to one's health. People need to be aware of what they are eating.

Our Community Access Television facility, that has offered training to citizens to create programming since the 1970's, is threatened to close because of loss of funding. This vital media link in our geographically challenged county where citizens can view archived programs on the internet and get training making TV media, might soon come to an end. Keeping this public media service operating to allow citizens to view local events and meetings should be a top priority of government agencies providing funding.

Would you rather vote for a candidate financed by 200 dollar contributions from individuals or a candidate financed by corporations? Voucher Vendetta would be a website where citizens could register that they will only vote for candidates that finance their campaigns with contributions from individuals in the amount of 200 dollars or less. It will keep track of the percentage of voters registered on the national level, for each state and each congressional district. This way everyone can see how many people are participating. It can be successful with only 20% of citizens participating nationally. With 20% national participation there would be some states below 20% and some above. In a state at 25-30% there would be some districts below and some above at 35 or even 40% of citizens registered. Not only will third parties and independent candidates be able to target these districts, but "hundred dollar" candidates will be able to mount primary challenges to the corporate financed current major party candidates. It will also destroy the gerrymandered districts that protect incumbents because a current major party candidate could mount a successful campaign by becoming a "hundred dollar" candidate in district that is considered safe for the other current major party. Laws that limit contributions will not succeed because they will be written by those benefiting from the current system. The only way to stop the large contributions is to make them worthless. It won't matter how much money the corporations contribute if this money will no longer buy enough votes to win an election.

Genetically Modified Organisms (most of our corn, soybeans and cotton) are being grown and consumed in Mississippi and they have never been properly, independently tested. The first independent testing being done in Europe shows reasons to be concerned. We should not be unknowing guinea pigs in this mass experiment. We should have the right to know if the food we buy has GMOs in it.

Connecticut just became the first state in the country with a GMO labeling law on the books. But given the growing evidence about the dangers of GMO, it shouldn't be the only one. The destruction of my neighborhood

Due to the complete lack of long term studies and the lack of third party studies determining the safety of these products, the people of Utah should have the choice of whether or not they eat these foods. Labeling these products will not alter their costs or the costs of the alternatives and we the people should be able to choose between them.

Employees should be allowed to designate a beneficiary for their Social Security earnings that are deducted from their wages. The money that was earned during their employment and deducted from their wages should be given to a beneficiary upon their death. If there is no beneficiary, then the money should be left in the Social Security Funds.

This petition has two parts. Part one is to ban geothermal hydraulic fracturng (fracking) in Hawaii. Geothermal fracking creates earthquakes and threatens to contaminate our water tables. There is a clear and direct threat that geothermal fracking will be utilized as geothermal drilling is expanded in Hawaii. Part two of this petition is intended to restrict the purchase of Liquified Natural Gas in Hawaii to gas obtained from conventional wells vs wells that use fracking.
