Mayor Vincent Gray: Raise the Wage!In a huge step for workers, the Washington DC City Council recently passed a bill requiring big-box retailers to pay a living wage of $12.50 an hour for employees at stores in the District of Columbia. Now we just need Mayor Vincent Gray to sign it into law. Walmart reaps $17 billion in profits annually and their employees pay the cost, taking home than less that $25,000 a year. The least Walmart can do is pay its DC workers a living wage. Tell Mayor Gray to stand with working families and the DC community and sign the Large Retailer Accountability Act so that our workers can earn a living wage.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Joe Dinkin

Defend our right to say no to GMO!Major corporations are lying about the safety of genetically modified foods and refusing to label their products. The result is that our right to know and to decide what we will and will not eat has been hijacked by greedy corporations. Our health has been sacrificed for their profit. This is a gross violation of human rights and must not be allowed to continue. Virtually all other countries have already either banned genetically modified foods or required labeling. Why should we fall behind?526 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Ryan Fortner

Repeal the "Stand Your Ground Law" in MissouriThis pettion is repeal the Stand your ground law. I think its unfair that you can go looking for trouble in Missouri, with a gun and you can find that trouble, and you can act upon that trouble in a way that leaves a person dead, and none of it guarantees that you will be convicted of a crime.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Helen

No justice for Christopher Todd MarksMy brother, Christopher Todd Marks, a 12-year-old boy, drowned in the Meramec river in August 2012. His stepdad, Todd Combs, provided alcohol for 7 minors that day. He was recently sentenced to just 1 year in county jail. Todd Combs has a previous record of 7 DWI's, previous domestic abuse charges, and assault charges. This man deserves to be put away for good. He is a criminal & Christopher did not get justice!! Help get this to our governor and legislature. We need harsher punishment for criminals in Missouri who harm children. They are all running free and making the world a dangerous place. SAVE THE CHILDREN, CHANGE THE LAWS!332 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Katie Marks

Shame on you Rep. Blake Farenthold! ¡Vergüenza debería darle Rep. Blake Farenthold!SB 744 is not the best bill in the world but so many hardworking immigrants who have helped build our homes, construct and maintain our roads and bridges, and have taken care of our children, continue to live in fear. As Texans - more than any other State - we must work for fair and humane immigration reform which begins with a path to citizenship. Anything less is flat out immoral and inhumane after all they and their families have invested in our State.
