• Justice For Jeremiah
The state of Louisiana has convicted me falsely and wants to sweep it under ths rug quietly. I have until Aug. 3 to file in LSC or be remanded from my appeal bond. The court of appeals denied my new attorney to even participate in my appeal process. The corrupt DA Leon Cannizzaro used to sit on the bench as a judge in the same trial court and court of appeals in New Orleans, La. You can google how corrupt it is in New Orleans, La, take a look. The Dept. Of Justice has been telling Louisiana and New Orleans for over 10 yrs to do something to better its system, and it has refused. In 2011, the DOJ finally released a report forcing it to change. It is all documented, well known, and ignored for too long. I was caught up in the system without outside help, or money to afford representation. Several human rights violations, civil rights violations, and constitutional rights violations I can clearly show beyond a shadow of a doubt.

  • Walmart: Reinstate all workers fired for their activism
Americans believe in speaking up when something’s wrong -- and the freedom to act together to make things right. But when we as Walmart workers came together to do just that, Walmart responded by firing and disciplining six workers at our store. It’s wrong for Walmart, America’s biggest company, to punish us for exercising our legally protected rights. I stood up with my coworkers, because I wanted to make Walmart a better place to shop and work. I just want to be able to support my family without relying on government assistance. Walmart responded by firing me, but my coworkers and I are still fighting for our rights.

  • Bring Some Sanity to the "War on Drugs"
The so-called "War on Drugs" has turned a public health problem into a multi-billion dollar taxpayer boondoggle. California State Senator Mark Leno's Senate Bill 649 would move California toward a smarter, humane, cost-effective justice system. It would reduce overcrowding in our prisons by allowing prosecutors to charge non-violent drug possession as a misdemeanor, rather than as a felony. SB 649 would free up funds currently supporting jails to be used for drug treatment instead. Studies show that in the 13 states that classify drug possession as a misdemeanor, treatment rates are higher and incarceration rates are lower, with no increase in crime.

  • Do Not Bring "Shoot First" laws to Ohio
In the wake of the George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin disaster, we should learn from the tragedy and not move in the wrong direction to bring the potential for unnecessary loss of life to Ohio.

  • Counterfeit Fortunes for Criminal Fraudsters and the Wicked Switch of Wall Street
The DTCC allows and enables securities (the actual, paper documents) to become digitized to facilitate ease of trading; the process is called dematerialization. I personally destroyed thousands of mortgage documents through the same process using a desk-top scanner. The banks have destroyed their ownership interest (security) in all the mortgages pre-dating the melt-down and beyond; the pink slip no longer exists. The banks are involved in a systemic criminal theft-by-deception; they don't own the loans they are attempting to mine through foreclosure, refinance, modification, short-sale, deed-in-lieu and reverse mortgage; in each of these processes they are tricking borrowers into returning the signatures they destroyed, in some instances, decades ago.

  • OBAMACARE
Healthcare coverage is one of the most important pieces of legislation accomplished by Democrats. Why would Representative Kyrsten Sinema vote with Republicans to delay Obamacare? I voted for Rep. Sinema with the trust that she would fight for Obamacare at every stage of its implementation.

  • A Full Pardon for Marissa Alexander
Equal justice under the law! Marissa Alexander killed no one and got 20 years. A battered wife and mother, she fired a warning shot to scare off her abusive husband, and gets 20 years in prison. Meanwhile, George Zimmerman murders Trayvon Martin and was set free! This is NOT equal justice! Stand your ground didn't work for Marissa or Trayvon. Why? They are black!

  • Family Member Visitation Rights Derechos de Visita Para Familiares
Tennessee has stepparent and grandparent visitation laws, but none for other significant family members of minor children. When a marriage fails or a family member dies, it’s the children who suffer most and largely in silence. Let’s tell the Tennessee legislature it’s time to protect children’s emotional ties to ALL family members.

  • John Barrow: The ACA is the law of the land and we ask you to stop wasting taxpayers' money tryin...
On March 21, 2010, your congressional body, the US House of Representatives, passed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and two days later, President Obama signed it into law. It is a fact that the ACA is the law of the land. However, the House of Representatives has attempted to repeal the law almost 40 times since its passage, but has yet to create legislation to put Americans back to work.
