Say no to allowing the Keystone Pipeline being built across the United States from Canada to the Texas Gulf Coast. The risks of oil leaks, pollution and public safety are too high of a cost. The oil industry can not be trusted to guarantee the public's safety. The more than a dozens of accidents involving pipelines, oil rigs, train derailments, and shipping have demonstrated the lack of concern on their part in the name of commerce and profits.

We the taxpayers are paying for Healthcare, Pensions, and many other Perks for our elected DO NOTHING congressmen and women, while they DO NOTHING to improve the country and lives of WE THE PEOPLE. NYC funding of a private park has tempted political opponents to drag the park's business into the public sphere, endangering a jewel the Sunnyside Gardens community has worked hard to preserve for over 80 years. It is far too precious for that. Cut off public funds. Operate the park with private money, as it always has been operated.

The LGBT community is faced with discrimination for all public accommodations across PA. It is legal to fire someone for being lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender. Likewise, it is legal to deny someone credit, housing, service in a restaurant, a job or promotion, solely based on that individual's sexual identity. PA House Bill and Senate Bill 300 will fix the law to protect the LGBTQ community.

I have been personally discriminated from military service from my local MEPS office in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am a bisexual man and i have applied for the military , I was turned away for self injury from bullying and cyber bullying when i was 14 and was based on something that happened 10 years ago and they had let someone in who had also self injured. I was never offered a second chance and permanently denied. I even offered to pay for some medical services , the main medical personal personally said they would never let me in even if i had proof saying i was okay. i had spent over 400 dollars in medical expenses and they denied me or even to reimburse me for my money. Please help me get justice and to let me do the one thing I've wanted to do since i was 4 years old. i dont want to sue i dont want money, i just want to join the military and serve the country i love and am being deined from doing. I believe in doing the right thing and second chances so please help me get mine and the justice i have been denied of for more than 4 years

A historic state office building in Nashville, TN is at risk for being demolished. The Cordell Hull building, constructed in 1952-53, is named for a Tennessee statesman, Cordell Hull (1871-1955). Hull was the longest serving United States Secretary of State, serving for a total of 11 years from 1933 -1944 under President Franklin D. Roosevelt. In 1945, Hull received the Nobel Peace Prize for his role in establishing the United Nations. He was referred to by President Roosevelt as the “Father of the United Nations.” The 59 year old Cordell Hull State Office Building at 425 5th Avenue North, Nashville, 37247 is one of several limestone buildings that frame the State Capitol, holding a distinctive presence on the Capitol grounds. According to Tim Walker, Executive Director of Metro Nashville Historical Commission, the Cordell Hull building is one of the best examples of mid-century modern architecture in the State. Several of its hallways along with restrooms are lined with marble, some of which is so rare that it can no longer be found in Tennessee. The are several statues on the Cordell grounds that honor many other Tennesseans. The building is eligible for listing in the National Registry of Historic Places. The building survived the 1998 F5 tornado in downtown Nashville. The Cordell Hull building is in need of repairs as is any building its age. Governor Bill Haslam’s administration is recommending that the building be torn down. The destruction of this stately civic building would be a major architectural loss to Nashville, to the State and perhaps even to the United States. Bill Edwards is the largest individual donor to Scott’s 2014 re-election campaign outside of the governor’s own family. He runs a St. Petersburg-based mortgage company recently fined $7.5 million by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for violating the “Do Not Call” telemarketing law and for misrepresentations made to members and veterans of the military. Sign the petition and tell Gov. Scott he should immediately return Bill Edwards' $500,000 contribution to his campaign.
