Violence is violence. The heir of the justice system (G.Z.) has committed other domestic crimes in the past. Zimmerman & other's like him have to be dealt with or the killing will continue...The courts cover up what they wanna cover up...they are the biggest criminals that allow other criminals to WALK!!!! I had brain surgery in October of 2011, and today I raise awareness on DOMESTIC VIOLENCE...This madness HAS GOT TO STOP. I believe the education has to start within the judicial system. One of the jurors in the George Zimmerman case has already made a book deal. Nobody should profit from the tragedy of another. I am not sure whether a different verdict would have made her book less saleable, but knowing you can make money could create a bias.

Bill 20-9, would allow civilian, single-role emergency medical service providers to participate in the Police Officers' and Fire Fighters' Retirement Program and establish a District of Columbia Advisory Paramedic Review Board. Currently , Single role Paramedics and EMT's handle about 85 percent of the entire departments work load. Since we weren't able to get the city to support a equal retirement. We would like for them to support us paying into a equal retirement system. Not a 401 A plan. This Bill also would allow a Paramedic review board. This is the equivalent to being judged by a jury of your peers verses a judge only. The current system takes primarily paramedics off the street for very minimal infractions for months at a time. The judge being the Medical director ( David Miramontes ) chooses who he wishes to site while others get a pass. Hydraulic fracturing for the purpose of natural gas production is a completely unacceptable technology for use in the state of Michigan. Fracking in the United States and throughout the world has resulted in horrendous disaster for citizens of the world.

Fracking has proven to be among the dirtiest mining technologies. Fracking is proven to release extremely dangerous amounts of methane into the air in addition to more hazardous and poisonous chemicals into the water table. The BLM's recent failure to consider any environmental impact analysis on fracking in CA shows the Obama administration prioritizes fossil fuel exploration over the environment and public health. Therefore it is up to CA state governance to put peoples' health and preserving what is left of the health our the environment--that we depend upon for clean air and WATER--as a first priority. We insist upon a moratorium on fracking in CA until a STATE run human health and environmental impact analysis is done.

Fracking results in extensive contamination of water, a precious resource. It is important instead to develop immediately, alternative sources of energy such as wind, solar and hydroelectric energy as well as to deploy a better energy grid.

Stop discriminatory practices against minority employees at the VAMC and enforce regulatory procedures to insure that promotions and hiring practices are fair for all VAMC employees including veterans.
