• Tell the Williamsport School Board to stop its campaign to subcontract the district's cafeteria e...
The Williamsport School Board wants to fire our school district cafeteria employees and hire an out of town for-profit corporation to provide those services. Why would we want to fire local residents and let our tax dollars leave our city to go into the bank account of a for profit corporation?

  • Bring passenger rail to Corvallis, OR
Corvallis has been long overlooked for frequent intercity public transportation. The Oregon Passenger Rail project is currently evaluating options for new and improved routes between Eugene and Portland. One of those proposed routes would come to Corvallis. Decisions are being made now by the Oregon Passenger Rail Leadership Committee that will affect transit in the Willamette Valley for decades to come. We need to ensure that we are not overlooked in this passenger rail overhaul. Our growing college city would boom with reliable connections to Eugene, Salem, Portland.

  • NY State Parents Support Teachers College Protest Against President Susan Fuhrman and Chancellor ...
As public school parents and concerned New York residents, we are in full support of the Teachers College students, faculty, staff, and alumni who are speaking out against the decision of Susan Fuhrman, Teachers College President, to award NY State Chancellor Merryl Tisch the “Medal for Distinguished Service.” This act raises two concerns about the ethics of the College. That's why I created a petition to Teachers College Board of Trustees, Susan Fuhrman, which says:

  • Transparency in Donations for Politicians+ Government
Lobbyists, Big Business, Energy Conglomerates, Corporations, Contractors, Advanced Technology Specialists, Real Estate, Media Outlets, Wallstreet, Big Banks, Loan Companies, Insurance Firms, Food and Drug Administration, Treasury Department, Tax Structure, Foreign and in many cases enemy countries, Transportation, etc. and the Top 2% are dictating how our country and constitution should be run. The money being donated, how it is being used, where it is coming from, and what purposes it is being used for needs to be made 100% Transparent. It will help explain how a nation of great abundance has become a nation of bankruptcy. It will also explain how politicians made hundreds of millions to billions of dollars in personal profits while the areas they swore to uphold and protect went completely bankrupt. The rein of the illegal, immoral, unethical, corrupt, abuse of advanced technology (to steal personal information/ money/ resources), and self declared super elite undermining the middle class and country for personal benefit- held above all laws legal and constitutional; has to come to an end for our country to survive and future generations to prosper!

  • Cell phone charging you more for less services
I do not mind paying my bills for services on my cell phone. However more and more companies are getting Greedy and they are reducing services yet charging consumers more and more. This is Greed and this is what Cricket cell phone is doing. I have had them for several year paying the same amount each month. Now they have removed my directory assistance and now say I have to Pay more for the same services. In other words pay more for less. I say it is time us consumers stand up and stop the GREED. They are bleeding us dry. Greed is making us all poor.

  • Charge a fee for plastic bags - Littleton
25% of the world's population now lives in areas with bans or fees on plastic bags. We do not live in such a place at this moment. Sadly, Plastic bags aren't biodegrade, they photodegrade - breaking down into smaller and smaller toxic bits contaminating soil and waterways and entering the food web when animals accidentally ingest them. A plastic bag can take between 400 to 1,000 years to break down in the environment. Plastic bags cause over 100,000 sea turtle and other marine animal deaths every year when animals mistake them for food. Plastic bags are among the 12 items of debris most often found in coastal cleanups, according to the nonprofit Center for Marine Conservation. Nearly 90% of the debris in our oceans is plastic.

  • Tell Home Depot and Lowe’s to stop selling bee-killing pesticides
Bees are essential for one out of three bites of food we eat. But last winter, beekeepers reported losses of 50-70 percent of their hives -- the worst year yet since the global bee die-off began! A growing body of scientific evidence is pointing to neonicotinoids (neonics) as the key factor in this crisis and the European Union has just imposed a two year ban on these toxic pesticides. These neonics are everywhere -- in commercial agriculture, on the shelf of your local garden stores, and in the plants and seeds we buy from nurseries. Bee part of the solution! Tell Home Depot, Lowe’s and others to stop selling neonics.
