Congress and benefits to themselves are out of control

The NRA can't wield any influence without money. While most NRA members support common sense regulations to reduce gun violence, the NRA itself persists with obstructionism, bullying and misinformation campaigns that go against its membership's desires.

Our foreign policies have always created an unfair advantage for third-world nations and resulted in increased emigrations from the devastated homelands to countries where there was a better chance to survive.

The NRA is intentionaly preventing any forward movement of gun laws solely to help benefit gun and ammunition manugacturers. The fact that a large and ever growing number of it's members are starting to cancel memberships or take issue against the organization.

All bills submitted to Congress (both HR and HS) should, on every paragraph, be annotated with the names of the authors of that paragraph.

Personal Background: I have been personally and professionaly involved since childhood. I am now age 68. My daughter has a genetic terminal illness. My former wife died of the disease. My granddaughter is at 50% risk now, etc. I have worked nearly all of my life regarding the basic needs of those with severe disability, both physical and mental. I have been involved at the direct Presedential Input level, and have provided significant "hands on" testimony to the House Ways and Means Committee, Senate Finance Committee, and The U.S. Supreme Court level (through a "Slip Decision" from the Senate to the Court) regarding treatment for those with severe disability. I was also one of the initial writers of the American's with Disability Act (ADA) and I designed a natioally implimented system (through GSA) to make government buildings accessible to those with severe physical disability.

The Congress of the United States must use the true majority vote to run our Governement. We have ALL suffered due to the rules which allow a 60% 'majority'. It is unconscionable in the United States of America...to use this false majority as a way to protect the people of this Country. It is also an unethical way to run our Government...when one small, group of people can block any and all progress which is crucial to the governing of the United States of America.

My annual salary has been drastically cut although my taxes have helped out everybody but me. I feel this country needs to be all for one and one for all. So far we the people of the working poor have cut back as far as we can. Its time for the upper crust of this country to have its share of cut backs. Where is the jobs from the Bush tax cuts?

These cuts can only be stopped by us taxpayers.

The war against Afghanistan will have ended in 2014 when the last US soldiers pull out. We will no longer be at war with Afghanistan, and it seems to me that we can no longer hold prisoners from that war, and under the Geneva Convention, they must be released.
