    While this country engages in conversation about making illegals citizens, it is trying to deprive those who paid into a system for decades their full social security benefits. This is not the president we voted for and they are simply appalled that he would entertain such a notion as corporate entities like GE pay ZERO in tax. This is NOT A VIABLE SOLUTION. This is absolutely a fulL attack against America's middle class!

    My husband and I depend on our Social Security payments for our living expenses. We can alter spending habits on food, clothing and incidental expenses, but when medical needs arises, there are seldom cheaper options except foregoing treatment.

  • If it's not broken, don't fix it!
    Recipients of Social Security have paid into it for their entire working lives. To accommodate baby-boomers and secure Social Security's longevity, the easiest and most fair fix is to eliminate the cap on income subjected to Social Security taxes. After all, why should a person whose annual income is approximately $107,000 or less pay Social Security taxes on 100% of her/his income, while one who earns approximately $400,000 pays Social Security taxes on only 1/4 of his/her income?
