  • War Tax
One of the reasons our economy and the federal budget is suffering is because we've been fighting wars without paying for them. A one-time tax to be levied until the Iraq and Afghanistan invasions and occupations have been paid for should be levied on those who most benefited from those military industrial actions: those whose incomes, assets, and net worth has grown since 9-11-2001. When the trillions of dollars lost to fight those wars are replaced, the war tax will end.

  • Don't desert your supporters!
Do not alter any part of Social Security except perhaps means testing. Some people depend on it for their basic necessities. Lowering it will bump them down to the poverty level.

  • Unrestricted access to Morning After Pill
Presently if a person under age 18 becomes pregnant they have to obtain a doctor's prescription to get the "morning after pill" also called the "Plan B One-Step." The Obama administration is opposed to allowing unrestricted access to this medication. If a 12 year old rape-victim can't get a doctor's okay, she may have to undergo pregnancy. This is an unwarranted restriction.

  • President Obama: Don't take our Social Security money!
All working people pay part of their wages into Social Security, where it is saved and then returned to us as income during retirement. Many of us, including myself, did not appreciate the value of this resource until the day when it turned out to be a vital, precious asset. Now, President Obama is proposing $112 billion in cuts to our Social Security benefits as part of his new budget. Meanwhile, wasteful military projects remain untouched. This is clearly wrong and should not be allowed.

  • Protect The Wolves on ESA
The wolf had been around for many years, but now they will not be around in this world. The wolf had been stripped of from the Endanger Species Act (ESA) recently. After they been listed off from the program many hunters and other people hunt and kill these animals for there complaint about hurting the elks, moose, deer population also attacking livestock in the result of hunting the wolves. These killings are now affecting the wolves pack social structure, thus in totaling 1,859 wolves were killed and now in some areas where wolves live are decreasing and probably eradicate all the wolves. including wolf pups. The Mexican Grey Wolf is critically endangered and the Red Wolf which hunting is going on these two wolves won't survive much longer. I urge you to place them back on the (ESA) to fully protect the wolves from further harm and facing extinction.

  • Don't cut Social Security
The Federal budget is probably the strongest statement of US priorities that we have. In a democracy, It should reflect the wishes of the people, but, according to polls, it doesn't. When most people do not agree with the opinions of the affluent, studies show that the wealthy prevail. They have been successful in the last few decades in removing tax burden from themselves and shifting it to the poor. That's why they want a flat tax, even lower corporate taxes even though our largest corporations pay NO tax, and they are keen to cut Social Security, Medicare, headstart, and other social programs.
