• JEFFERSON COUNTY IOWA ORGANIC
There are over 3000+ counties in the USA. We want just one small county in the agricultural heartland to be designated ORGANIC ONLY.

  • Implement WV Barber Apprentice Program
There is presently a shortage of Barbers coming into the proffession. With only one school in the State it is impractical for most to attend from far distances. I believe the program has been legislated in a previous years legislative session and needs only to have the curriculum approved and the program implemented. This directly affects me because I have a barbershop in Glenville and cannot find help with my client base.

  • MoCo County, MD 'Master Plan' for the Bus Rapid Transit
The Planning Board is moving forward with the 'Master Plan' for the Bus Rapid Transit. The staff draft was released last week on March 11th, along with appendices and the staff memo. The Planning Board meeting is tomorrow evening at 6 pm, giving citizens less than one week to read all the documents, many of which are quite technical. The staff documents are here: http://www.montgomeryplanningboard.org/agenda/2013/documents/20130318_CountywideTransitCorridorsFunctionalMP_Attachment_000.pdf

  • Federal Waiver to Pass Universal Health Care
Everyone in California should be concerned about the direction Health Care is heading. BCBS has a stronghold on this state and dictates the rates and services offered.

  • industrial hemp production in Washington
The federal government has classified industrial hemp as a nacrcotic in schedule 1 along with cocaine and heroin, even though hemp is not a drug at all.. Remember the government film "Hemp for victory" (in 1943)? Hemp has over 300,000 uses. It can be used as food, fuel and fiber. We currently import hemp from Canada (which grows some 550,000 acres of hemp). Hemp is arguably the most useful plant on the planet, and the people of Washington state have a God given right to grow it. Free the people from this unjust legislation. Hemp for victory 2013!

  • Congress: save the army's tuition assistance program
I am a full time student and I am being affected by this erratic gesture whereby the army tuition assistance is being cut off. Me and thousands of my comrades are strongly being affected by this budget cut. Education is not something that should be cut and this should be stopped.

  • Stop Media Support of Rape Culture
Poppy Harlow from CNN should be fired for her sympathy towards the Steubenville RAPISTS and disregard for the victim. Rapists are not victims. CNN's portrayal of the Steubenville conviction encourages the already prevalent tendency of this country to blame the victim for both the assault and for "ruining" the criminal's life.

  • no budget no pay
It is time for the American public to make a stand against the stalemate that has been created in Washington. It is a lack of communication, cooperation and leadership that has brought about the chaos that exists in Washington today. It is the President, House of Representatives and the Senates responsibility to create a budget. They have not done so. If it can happen now it can happen in the future. We owe it to our children, and our grandchildren to stop this maddness and hold them accountable.

  • Say No to Funding Cuts for Arkansas Universities
Students at University of Arkansas - Fort Smith (UAFS) are concerned about potential education funding cuts! If UAFS and higher education in the state of Arkansas are important to you, please help send this message to our state legislators. A decrease in funding will increase our tuition and cut valuable programs and services!

  • Support a "Rule of Ninety" Retirement clause
State workers in the current retirement system have to work until age 65 before receiving their pension, regardless of their years of service. (This bill allows workers as young as 55 to retire, but they would have to have at least 35 years of service.)

  • Corporate vs. Social Welfare
MPN (Mint News Press), Trisha Marczak. Please read this piece from Ms. Marcak and get this information out to anyone in the press or others since this is such a timely subject. People should know that Corporate welfare in 2007 was more than $90 billion. Social welfare programs were $59 billion. Show the citizens why Paul Ryan's budget is a sham.
