Daylight Saving Time (DST) interferes with many social life styles, sleep pasterns and work cycles etc and has no real benefits to our society. It is time to end DST and explore/propose a new alternative time standard that does not interfere with these situations. The NST is the perfect solution to fixing DST and bringing our time system to one that does not require any yearly changes once it is in place. My petition is to eliminate the ELA/Math tests from schools. This is "Child Abuse" because the kids are under pressure and don't want to attend school. Kids are under stress for the long hours and complex questions that they have to face within the next month. NOT FEAR for our kids at all. I don't think is fear to hold back a child because of the tests results. All the effort and hours spent for the entire year should be the top priority to pass to the next grade.

LB557 and LB598 would create opportunities for Nebraskans to invest and own shares in medium-size renewable community energy projects. Renewable sources are solar, wind, methane, and biomass. These bills reinforce our public power structure and Governor Heineman’s vision to ensure that Nebraskans have reliable, affordable and cleaner energy in the future (as he recently said in an interview). Developing “Community Solar Garden” projects and raising the net-metering threshold from 25kw to 100kw will encourage private investment in energy projects, adoption of innovative technologies, creation of new economic development, and help our public power utilities diversify their energy portfolio. These bills are fiscal neutral and do not add a dime to the deficit. Nebraskans welcome renewable energy in the state without putting a burden on taxpayers. The bills only remove provisions and send a message that says: "Nebraska is NOW open for business."

The proposals to ban trade in used electronics between rich and poor have had a perverse effect. Poor nations have more pressing things to worry about than "e-waste". They are better off purchasing working and repairable electronics from rich people than they are being outlawed from the trade.

we are in bad need of a govener. texas is 49th in education, running out of water, training people to use guns[in only four hours], and many other problems. i could go on and on, but it is to be kept short

The American people contribute their tax dollars to social security and medicare everytime they collect a paycheck or file their quarterly taxes if self employed. Our government collects a paycheck and huge benefits because of our tax dollars. If the American people have their benefits cut, our legislature should have their own benefits cut to the same level.

The man claims that taking part in and watching MMA is the same as taking part in and watching child porn. This man does not have the mental capacity to be a leader/voice in our government. He needs to be removed from office.

My friends and I are what people would consider an "Art Head", which a person that is very serious about an art or talent. There are many kids in my school (Carver school of the Arts, which is located in Atlanta, GA) that are not serious and are holding people back. We need our auditions back.
