  • Cutting Congressman & women etc WAGES & BENEFITS
They change their wages and give themselves pay raises. We never voted on them or set their wages. They sure love to set our wages so low we can't live on one paycheck. They need to cut wages by over 50 percent and learn to live like the rest of us! We pay our way in insurance, medical, prescriptions, gas, air plane fair etc. It is time for them to pay for what they want not off our backs! We have had more than enough of doing without while they live high off the hog!

  • Lowe's, quit running the “Make it Beautiful, Tear It Down” commercial
Last August Lowe's Home Improvement began running a TV commercial, “Make it Beautiful, Tear It Down”, that portrayed a couple demolishing their home with sledgehammers before remodeling it. No mention was made of the possibility of recycling or reusing the lumber, cabinets, fixtures etc rather than sending them to the landfill. We at Zero Waste Kauai, and our national allies started an e-mail campaign to get them to pull the commercial and it appeared we were successful, but now the commercial is back again. you an check it out at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oLiV3nu3y-w.

  • No Pay Without a Budget
If I don't do my job, I don't get paid, as I will be fired. Congress and their staff aren't doing their job, as they aren't creating and passing a real budget. Why don't we take away some of their pay until they do their job, and the money they lose will not be paid back to the represenatives or senators.

  • Mandatory prison sentences for Bankers laundering illegal drug money
Wells Fargo was fined for laundering profits from illegal drug money laundering but no one went to jail. We have huge numbers of people in prison for selling small amounts of drugs yet the bankers actions helped untold amounts of drugs be sold on our streets. A fine for the bankers is a slap on the wrist and can be written off as a "cost of doing business" expense. A mandatory prison sentence may make them take this issue a little more seriously!
