• Tax Dodge Prevention Act
I just read (2-9-13) Sen. Bernie Sanders article in "the Huffington Post".Yes, I've been personally affected, I'm asked to pay because some corporations aren't paying, in fact they are taking money tax dollars from the government.

  • North Carolina Gov. McCrory
The Legislature of the State of North Carolina is as broken as it's Government. There is no hope for any of us when the Legislature is actively working against the wishes of the people and passing detrimental legislation, sometimes in the middle of the night or by "mistake".

  • No Frill Bills/Clear and Cleanly written
When state or federal legislatures create and sponsor bills they must submit all written proposals in PLAIN Language,; Not attached unrelated issues or additional PORK! For example, Senator A. proposes that all Senators and Representatives must be physically present for all votes...let's just say. That may be an impossible request given how things are currently run in government. Senator B. can't add a highway program or daycare in this Bill. No piggybacking

  • Governor Walker: Give Skyward the Contract
My county, Portage County, has been consistently the most progressive, pro-worker county in out-state Wisconsin. A major, clean industry & employer named "Skyward, Inc." has produced the software used by over 200 school districts and has hundreds of local workers. The Scott Walker administration wants to have only ONE supplier of school district software and is set to award the state contract to an out-of-state supplier. This move will cost Portage County hundreds of jobs and an estimated $209 million. Help me fight the targeting of our county by a politically motivated state government.

  • Tell the PA Legislature "Stop Trying to Rig Elections"
The PA State GOP is seeking to change the rules for elections, thus redefining "majority" and Pennsylvania's role in choosing our leaders. By introducing a bill that would drastically change the way Pennsylvania's Electoral College distributes votes, your vote may count as less than another's based on gerrymandered districts.

  • Elected Officials Term Limits
It's time "we the people" take our country back. Take it back from the PACS, unions, high rollers and big business that help keep the same people in office over and over again so they can keep their greasy little fingers in the cookie jars of government!

  • Keep pushing for the development of world class high speed rail for our region!
The Pacific NW continues to be a very regionally driven economy and needs the transportation infrastructure to support it. Living in North Portland and next to I-5, our air quality is significantly dirtied from car traffic and especially affects young and old folk's health. Developing public-private partnerships to issue in a new age of train travel in our region and beyond could greatly mitigate future environmental problems, put folks back to work, and absolutely improve our economy.

  • Governor Bentley and the Alabama Legislature
Do you really trust the state government in Alabama to be involved in your personal/private life? Do you want a strange politician in Montgomery making your private medical and personal decisions for you?

  • Jim Graham: Resign
DC residents deserve better from our elected officials than the misconduct of Jim Graham. Investigation after investigation has concluded that his behavior with the lottery contract was unethical, and yet he refuses to take responsibility for his actions. How many more tax dollars must be wasted investigating his misdeeds? We agree with the Washington Post editorial calling on Graham to resign. Despite once again escaping sanctions, "What he can’t escape is that his actions have again been found indefensible." Graham's misdeeds distract from the work of improving our neighborhoods for all Ward 1 and DC residents. Resign, Mr. Graham.

  • Return Voting Hours To Floridians
My entire family found it impossible to vote early in the last National election, after numerous tries. The whole point is to take pressure off "election day." You cutting availability to the polls was egregious and disheartening Florida voters trying to exercise the right to vote, making the process the mockery within the country. Bring back or even extend the time we need to vote like Americans, who, by the way, hold the right to do so!.
