I work in the film industry as many of my fellow Minnesotans do...I have to leave my home in Minnesota to work because, there is not much work in the film industry in Minnesota. I would prefer to stay in Minnesota and I know many others who feel the same way. The film incentive can bring much needed income to Minnesota if run properly.

My students who have grade point averages of 3.00 and above are denied college acceptance and financial aid even though they have completed Elementary, Middle and High school in the United States. These students came into the country with their parents from nine months to five years old. Education is of paramount importance for all. Please support our bright, young, future generation.

There exists among our elected officials a logical fallacy that when you cut taxes for businesses there is a "Trickle Down" effect. Eliminating the State Sales Tax for businesses will place an undue extra burden on the citizens (that is living breathing humans-not corporations) of the state of Florida. Every time the state cuts taxes for businesses, I pay more in user taxes such as utility fees and surcharges. Furthermore, Public Safety, Education, and Assistance are made to 'bite the bullet' to cover the revenues lost by cutting taxes. Finally, It is a logical fallacy that cutting taxes results in job creation. It wasn't true for Reagan, Bush (all 3 of them), Crist, or Scott and it isn't true now.

Far too many of our health insurance premium dollars go to finding ways to deny claims. It is time to stop this insanity! Healthcare is a human right enshrined in our Illinois Constitution. Preamble We, the People of the State of Illinois... in order to provide for the health, safety and welfare of the people; maintain a representative and orderly government; eliminate poverty and inequality; assure legal, social and economic justice; provide opportunity for the fullest development of the individual; insure domestic tranquility; provide for the common defense; and secure the blessings of freedom and liberty to ourselves and our posterity - do ordain and establish this Constitution for the State of Illinois.

I have seen way, way too many plastic water bottles and other beverage containers in Texas streams, creeks, bayous, bays, and gulf, including a plastic water bottle stuck in the throat of a pelican skeleton. These wastes are actually valuable resources that can be reused, if collected and returned to various industries. Beverage container deposits have proven to be an effective incentive to return these materials to the market place. It's time for Texas to take advantage of this "nest egg" on the ground!

My children attend classes with larger numbers of students, fewer resources (materials and teaching staff) and reduced oportunities like art or even elective science classes.
