Childhood obesity and the rampant spread of diet related diseases to our nations young people should be the number one concern in America today. We must take a stand to save the next generation. This dietary change could serve to reduce the cost to the public for completely preventable diet related diseases.

The federal government has been using their drug laws to supercede state law.The citizens of many states have voted to make medical marijuana legal and yet the feds are confiscating medicine ,seizing everything with their abuse of the civil asset forfeiture law and even jailing people who can not afford the expensive lawyers to defend themselves.Enough is enough,its time for the state to step up and protect its citizens by establishing definite regulations which will protect those involved with the growing ,transfer and distribution of medical marijuana.

Let us cut the umbilical cord from the Texas State Board of Education to every School Book Publisher in the US. Because Texas is the major purchaser, by far, of schoolbooks used by children in every state, every schoolbook publisher in the United States must toe the Texas School Board of Education line. No State Board should be the national umpire for the contents of the schoolbooks every American schoolchild is taught by. Unless you live in Texas, you have no say on what schoolbooks contains. Our top priority in education must be one that starts our children equally on their path to education based on access to the broad aims of the Nation rather than narrowly to those of any one State.

I believe there are not a lot of wildlife preserves in the United States of America.I also think there are not enough of wildlife preserves by the water for in-dangered species that live in the water like the Loggerhead turtles and whales.

Most Americans have had more than enough of the gun violence and killing that has become an everyday occurance. We are becoming desensitized to this madness. The polls say that a majority of the actual membership of the NRA are in favor of safe gun laws, yet we only hear from the bought & sold heirarchy of the NRA who preach lies and try to spread unnecessary fear. America needs YOU the NRA MEMBERS to speak truth to power. Say ENOUGH to the lies and distortions of Wayne LaPierre and the NRA suits.

Excessive spending on the prosecution of people who grow, consume, purchase or sell cannabis when it can be regulated, taxed and controlled. Alcohol is far more dangerous yet legal. Cannabis has applications within the construction resources and paper industries.

Paying a living wage would solve many problems in our country. Over half of the poor in this country work, yet they need government services such as food stamps and Medicaid. Turn these folks into taxpayers rather than people needing our tax dollars. Stop the subsidies to business that pay poverty wages. Give work dignity by paying people a fair and just wage. We all do better when everyone is doing better.

Congress and our Senate elected officials sould only be allowed TWO terms. Right know we have the best congress and senate that money can buy. Big money lobbyist and the people who pay them are the ones running this country. Vote them out of office, and put the fear of us to work. If they fear loosing their gobs, the'll think twice about spending our money.

The cost of college tuition has been increasing dramatically and this needs to stop. It is preventing many individuals from receiving an education. It is important that our future leaders of America benefit from the education system in order to improve our country.
