Suspend All Legislative and Executive CompensationAs a Veteran, I am personally disgusted by every single member of the US House, Senate and Presidential administration's inability to pass a satisfactory budget in a timely fashion. If our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines and Airmen aren't getting the compensation they were guaranteed (vis a vis: 3 square meals a day), and our veterans are unable to secure work and/or the contractually guaranteed benefits they are entitled to, then the officers of government whose jobs only exists due to the continued sacrifice of volunteer warriors should cease to draw payment and benefits immediately.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Daniel C. Do not raise the Medicare eligibility age-it's BAD Arithmetic!Want to start a real generational war? Then keep bringing up the solution to Medicare funding that does not add up. The Kaiser Family Foundation did the math, raising the medicare eligibility age to 67 will save the government 5.7 billion but would end up costing every citizen and state and federal government 11.4 billion! Raising the Medicare eligibility age instead of focusing on the speculative COST of health care is bad for everyone's health!1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sean Denoyer

On Gun SafetyFor me, the issue is not so much gun control as gun safety. In the US, we have an epidemic of gun-related deaths and injuries. The US, with about 5% of the world’s population, own more than 50% of the world’s guns. We have one of the highest murder rates of any nation. We have a large number of accidental deaths with guns. I believe that the issues of gun safety is similar to the issue of automobile safety, and that a system of regulations on gun ownership paralleling the regulations on automobile safety is appropriate. In addition, every gun owner should carry liability insurance just as automobile owners do. Such liability insurance should be expensive enough that ownership of many guns is discouraged. The incidence of gun-related accidents in the homes of law enforcement officials is significantly less than that in the homes of others. One of the ready sources of unregistered guns used in crimes is gun theft. We need a long-term goal of having every gun registered and linked to its owner.59 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Lloyd Edwards

Loan ModificationsMy interest rate is 7.05 % . I started with world savings pic a payment plan. They were sued and lost the lawsuit. Wachovia bought them and turned me down three times. Wells fargo bought them and there debt for tax relief. They were sued over it. Lost and ordered to modify peoples loans. I have had eight home preservationists, and turned down on three modification requests. I called HUD. I'am getting nowhere. MMI is trying to modify my loan and consoladate my credit card debt. Wells fargo has turned down 98% of the people who are trying to get there loans modified. ed chisamore6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by edward chisamore

Save MICA Jewelry Program! The Maryland Institute College of Art has announced the closing of the Jewelry Design program! This nationally recognized program has produced hundreds of award winning jewelry designers. As America grows its "new" manufacturing sector, we feel closing the jewelry design program at MICA is a bad decision for Baltimore and America's need for young "artrepreneurs."1,746 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Wendy Rosen

Ammo sales taxes pay for mental healthWorking in social services for over 22 years, I have watched programs for the poor and mentally ill lose funding and support. It is devastating to watch the poor and mentally ill lose the ability to be served. I have also watched how some people's desire for individual freedoms appear to trump the freedoms of the masses. Gun ownership is one of these individual freedoms that has many times impacted the freedoms of the masses. We witness this everyday in the violence we see and hear about. When we take care of those who cannot take care of themselves, we celebrate the freedoms of everyone.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by bernadette pauls

Unfair unemployment RightsIt's unfortunate that there are no extensions in place for individuals like myself whose 4th tier was dropped. If extensions are in place, why aren't there any extensions for people who lost their 4th tier as part of this Fiscal Cliff deal?58 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Tina Woodrit
