Save our Salmon! There is a rock crushing/wood chipping facility that's planning on opening up shop right in the middle of our town of Ketchikan Alaska. The planning request has no provisions for the pollution that will be involved. No water treatment facility. No dust pollution plans. No noise pollution plans. (It's going to be near schools, a library, preschool, etc. They also want long term storage of their equipment and chemicals. It will be near a prime salmon spawning ground as well as one of the largest salmon hatcheries in the state. There was a deadline to comment, 12/31/124 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Duke Swink

Firearm Compulsory Liability InsuranceFirearms are responsible for more bodily injury, and death, to innocent third -parties, than motor vehicles,. Yet all motor vehicles must have compulsory liability insurance -- but not so firearms. Therefore subject all firearms to the same types of mandatory insurance liability requirements -- as motor vehicles,1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by William Dusenberry PhD

State Legal aid to municipalitiesWalmart forced Mount Pleasant council to approve a Walmart grocery store by threatening legal action Mount Pleasant could not afford to fight. There are 5 grocery stores with in a mile. Now Milwaukee based Sentry is laying off 71 workers. Across the state, multinational corporations are using bulling tactics like this. We need to make our Representatives represent us against multinational corporations who override Municipality's decisions by threat of costly legal action.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Steven Smith

Liability Insurance for Gun ownersA GSW's average cost is reported to be as high as $1,000,000. A gun owner cannot guarantee that his or her gun will not cause a accidental injury or be used in a crime. Therefore it seems that requiring liability insurance for these weapons is a reasonable expectation for responsible gun ownership. A higher liability requirement could be put on assault weapons.13 of 100 SignaturesCreated by John Boehme

Cut Congress Members PayMembers of the United States Congress have utterly failed to do their job in protecting the welfare of this country. Their inability to resolve differences and be effective is shameful. They deserve a pay cut.14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Marjorie Abrams

FREE ROBERT FOXWhen ONE of us is unjustly imprisoned, we ALL suffer. Dr. Martin Luther King said it best: "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere," in a letter from the Birmingham Jail on 16 April 1963. I know Robert Fox, and he is not a criminal. He is the victim of rogue police officers in Jacksonville, Texas, who are trying to destroy him for filing a claim against the city for THEIR 8 previous false charges that were defeated.483 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Brady Byrum

Stop Congress Pay RaisesThe President has approved raises for Congress. We should all worry when people who have done virtually nothing, believe they deserve more tax payer money, while the remain indecisive. We need to take a stand and say this isn't right, and that the people of America won't allow it.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by David Veilleux

Fair ShareWarren Buffett is advocating higher taxes for the rich so they can "pay their fair share." Former President Bill Clinton proposed the idea of a wealth tax in the nineties. For example, Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi has an estimated wealth of over sixty million dollars. Our nation's debt needs our wealthiest one percent to pay their "fair share." Speaker Pelosi, Warren Buffett, and numerous other uber-rich need to pay a one-time tax of twenty to thirty percent without all the tax-avoidance games.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jeff Mark
