IOWA Legislators: Stop sexist employers from firing their innocent employees! We, the people of Iowa, are outraged by a recent ruling by the state Supreme Court that gives employers permission to fire employees that they find to be too sexually attractive, even if the employee has done no wrong. This needs to be stopped.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Emily Elliott

Mr. President: If Necessary Utilize the 14th Amendment to avoid our Social Safety Net from being ...The Republican Party in Congress is threatening to hold the American People Hostage with the threat of dismantling our Social Safety Net or face a Default on the Federal Debt Ceiling by their refusal to vote to raise the ceiling. This would not only wreck our economy - it would have dangerous financial chaos around the World on a planet already in far too much turmoil. And set up a system of government by hostage taking.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Robert Gumbs

Save American Democracy! Fight for a Democracy Reconstruction Act!We Americans have always thought of ourselves as the greatest democracy in the world. But, sadly, our democracy is not always very democratic: too often political gamesmanship thwarts the will of the people. For the sake of our children and to set an example for the rest of the world, we must do better. We could do so with a few key reforms: universal voter registration; the end of the filibuster rule; non-partisan redistricting; publicly financed elections; representation for the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and U.S. territories.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Michael Sappol

Take Action on Age Discrimination in the USEveryone knows age discrimination is rampant in the workplace across the US. We are even told to take experience and education off of our resumes in order to not give away our age. The onus is on the victim to be labeled as a complainer or a whistle blower.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Carla Davis

games affecting our youth.I'm a mother of three teenagers and my oldest son is addicted the mindcraft. He sneaks his ipad in the middle of the night or ipod and he and his buddy play. You take it away he finds it. It controls him. Is all he talks about. Our youth already have enough things making it hard for them to grow up at this time. Why have games Thursday don't do thm any good. I'm not saying don't have games but make them unavailable to children above youth. The gaming world is becoming more important than family.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by jean houghton

Respect The ChildrenEvery time there is a disaster that affects children, natural or man-made, television reporters stick a microphone in a child's face and ask how they feel about the death of a school-mate; are they sad because a classmate has died; are they comfortable returning to school, etc. etc. It is about time the media agree to confine their intrusive and tear-jerking interviews to adults. Let's end the manipulation of kids for the sake of sensationalism.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Karl C. Johnson

Change Credit Agency reporting rulesCredit reporting companies should not be allowed to hold negative information in individuals reports more than 5 years. Given the state of the economy since 2008 and the enormous bail outs the financial institutions received, the least consumers should get is a reduction in the credit reporting rules. Jobs, insurance and security backgrounds are all affected by these reports adding to the difficulty getting a job.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Leslie Hardesty
