Medical Marijuana is proven already as the best medicine for human consumption. Helps cure forms of cancer,severe pain, and kids with autism tend not to hurt themselves as much. How about our military, they suffer through back pains, surgery and missing body parts! Oh, but our government give these people pills that contain poison to the body, and cause mass side effects? Medical Marijuana can help us live and help our planet grow!

Two years ago, the Obama Administration compromised again and again with the Republicans, but the Republicans refuse to arrive at a workable funding solution to avoid the "fiscal cliff". Republicans claim that $250,000/year is near poverty levels, yet they claim that the $8100/year that welfare recipients receive makes them wealthy.

Our country faces a dire economic meltdown, isn't it time to ask everybody, including the currently exempt religions, to pitch in and help bring down our debt? I'm sure that would make a noticible dent in our national debt w/o compromising our security or social net. Please join me in getting Congress & the President to pass a law requiring them to pay their fair share too.

Being discussed now is that we the people will have to sacrifice our SS and Medicare benefits while our lawmakers enjoy superior health and retirement benefits at our expense. Time to discuss cutting these expensive lifetime benefits given to all the lawmakers no matter how dishonorably they have served.

It is unfair that States that are successful have to carry those that are not and unable to be due to misguided governance.

This petition calls upon the Congress to pass and the President to sign a law requiring all future potential gun owners to acquire liability insurance as a condition of purchases of new or used firearms as of the passage of the bill.

Get congress to work with the Pres. on the fiscal cliff..to show the same kind of cooperation that the Democrats in congress showed in 2008 when we were facing a finacial meltdown when Bush was president, and averted it with the tarp program.

I know many that would retire if they could buy into Medicare. That would open jobs for younger workers. Medicare must be here for future generations.

My friend recently graduated from college with a degree in Chemical Engineering with an impressive GPA. However, he now works a minimum wage job to pay his bills temporarily during his remaining time in the US before he is forced to leave. This economy is tough on us all but I hate seeing my friend having to be ashamed of the choices his parents made by employers. He like many other STEM (Science, Technology and Engineering Major) students should be judged on their achievements and not their nationality. Tell our government to help these kids stay in the US and grant them legal work status.

Chief Theresa Spence has been on hunger strike since December 10th, 2012 to stand for our Indigenous people to assert Indigenous sovereignty; to put a stop to Bill C-45 and requesting to meet with Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Bill C-45 attacks the land base reserved for Indigenous people not respecting the Treaties. The Treaties are nation to nation agreements between Canada and First Nations who are sovereign nations. The Treaties are agreements that cannot be altered or broken by one side of the two Nations. The spirit and intent of the Treaty agreements meant that First Nations peoples would share the land, but retain their inherent rights to lands and resources. Instead, First Nations have experienced a history of colonization which has resulted in outstanding land claims, lack of resources and unequal funding for services such as education and housing. Chief Theresa Spence said she is willing to die in an attempt to get the federal government and aboriginal leaders to discuss the treaty process and make fundamental changes. I ask you Mr. President to take a stand with us to STOP Canadian Bill C-45 and end Chief Spence hunger strike.
