• Help stop gerrymandering
Gerrymandering or using a partisan process to design election districts is creating an ultra partisan government which hinders any progress on important issues. We urge you to develop and implement an impartial non-partisan process to help correct this issue. Let's get back to letting government work for the people!

  • Support TAGS: Teachers against guns in schools
One short week after the Sandy Hook tragedy, NRA leadership called for ‘guns in schools’ as the antidote to future incidents. We know this is not the answer—more guns means more shootings, more accidents, more tragedy. Putting loaded guns into the hands of school personnel is simply unacceptable. But eighteen states (including California, Connecticut and Hawaii) already permit teachers to carry guns. The details for these permissions vary, but the result is the same—children can end up in harms way. Currently, several other states have already proposed bills to arm our teachers. At the same time, teachers, administrators and parents are speaking out overwhelmingly against guns in civilian hands at school. This includes the teaching community of Sandy Hook. The NRA has really only one motive in wanting to arm our teachers and school staff—more guns sales, and hence more profits. We need national legislation so that these politicized dramas, and their potentially disastrous consequences, do not get played out one state at a time. Like regulations for our food and drugs, keeping guns out of schools is a matter of national health. For more information on proposed legislation, local decisions and responses from teachers and parents, please visit our Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/TeachersAgainstGunsInSchools Please sign this petition today. And encourage others to sign as well. Let’s work together to put as much distance as possible between children and guns.

  • Leverage the US market with Federal law to balance world economy.

  • Term limits for Congress
Too many Congressional people make a career out of being in Congress. I feel they make more than most in our nation, have better benefits, more vacation time than should be. They have it better than our service people. The longer they are in the more they can work the system. Terms limits would give others a voice to be heard, not the career politition.

  • End Gun Manufacturers Immunity
"The Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA) shields the gun industry even when it makes guns that are unnecessarily dangerous and sells them recklessly" Most other manufacturers can be brought to change through legal means if they refuse to do it on their own. Think air bags and seat belts.

  • Stop Airing Foreign Content on Pakistani Channels
Pakistani channels (Urdu1, GEO etc.) are airing foreign shows (Indian, Turkish etc.) that are slow poison to our country. These foreign shows are taking people away from their culture. Showing explicit scenes onscreen and destroying the mindsets of people is not acceptable. If this continues Pakistanis and Muslims will lose their values and get lost in the shuffle. Additionally, it will lead to poverty and financial crisis. Now that channels have foreign content, they are not buying local content, which results in people losing their jobs and the country as a whole facing a loss. Our drama industry may also have to suffer the way our film industry suffered. There will be no jobs, no money and no opportunities for our youngsters. THIS HAS TO BE STOPPED! Join TVKahani and others in this quest. Sign this petition, spread it, and let your voice be heard! TOGETHER, We can make a difference!
