Since our country has experienced elections in which the victorious candidate has lost the popular vote and yet won the Electoral College, it seems that the voice of the majority of Americans is not heard. Most recently, in 2000, Vice Priesident Albert Gore was denied the presidency in such a manner. Few would disagree that our country would be far better had he been elected. Growing up in the 1990s, I was an over-acheiver - same as hundreds of thousands of other Americans who worked hard to attain an advanced degree. I took out federal loans without batting an eyelash because there was no other way to pay for my public university education. Now, more than a decade after earning my BA, I am saddled with crushing student loan debt. As 30-somethings, we can stimulate the economy if our debt was eliminated or lessened. We could buy houses, have weddings, go on vacation, make investments, start businesses, and have children. Right now, we are drowning in a sea of endless payments that make those dreams hard to reach.

I have a son with autism and the kids are sick and this do not work for them all it do is make them upset and hurt them.

It's time for real democracy in America. People need to hear the voices of candidates that don't simply represent corporate party "A" or "B ." All legitimate candidates for president need to be given a real forum to express their views so that a wider dialog about national issues can be heard.

Lack of dental insurance is a huge problem in America. It has led to the detriment of our teeth. Why should this be? I cannot afford to go to the dentist. I am not alone. Dental health should be part of medical insurance plans. If we don't have healthy teeth and gums, we will not have healthy bodies.

As a federal employee, I come to work everyday, and work hard to accomplish the job that I was hired to do. Why can't our elected officials be expected to do the same?
