Do not cut my Social Security. I have been paying into it my entire working life. If it has been a Ponzie Scheme, then the law should deal with that, including me suing the government for the full recovery of the money I have been forced to pay plus interest and lots of people going to the Federal Penitentiary. If the government has money to provide subsidies to businesses making record profits and money to create several new billionaires in the Middle East, then it has enough money to refrain from robbing me.

The City Council in the small Texas Hill Country town of Bulverde, insists upon invocations that begin their monthly meetings with blatantly sectarian prayer. Out of realization that I have no voice, and I certainly have no representation, I now make it a point to personally attend each meeting; stand up when called; and (nervously) present the council with my words that fit into the 3-minute Public Comments format afforded citizens. This public, government entity fails to grasp that it is not in compliance with our Constitution, and must somehow be reproached. The lone, individual citizen, grassroots approach is the only way I know.

Our food supply is under assault by corporations that are aggressively patenting seeds. Food is a basic human need. Corporate ownership of such a basic human need is a path to food dominance and control. Do you want permission to eat when you're hungry? Would you like to be sued for having a home garden? No? Then sign today to force the patent office to get rid of such patents and make seed patenting illegal.

The way to stop gun violence and reign in the NRA is to go after corporate interests. Therefore, I say refuse to shop at any store that sells guns. If you don't buy other stuff at Wal-Mart because they also sell guns, they will stop selling guns.

Regardless of political persuasion, polls have shown that the majority of Americans want our politicians to compromise and find ways to cut our deficit, raise the debt ceiling, ensure that entitlement programs are viable through effective changes and management, and get our country back on its feet economically. We need these things without months of wrangling, brinksmanship, and stalling at the cost of our national credit rating, the terrible effects on the middle class and the poor, and the across the board cuts and tax increases that were so egregiously agreed upon months ago. Unless we stand up and demand that Washington get things done, they won't, and we will pay.

Two years ago, the Obama Administration compromised again and again with the Republicans, but the Republicans refuse to arrive at a workable funding solution to avoid the "fiscal cliff". Republicans claim that $250,000/year is near poverty levels, yet they claim that the $8100/year that welfare recipients receive makes them wealthy.

Our country faces a dire economic meltdown, isn't it time to ask everybody, including the currently exempt religions, to pitch in and help bring down our debt? I'm sure that would make a noticible dent in our national debt w/o compromising our security or social net. Please join me in getting Congress & the President to pass a law requiring them to pay their fair share too.

Being discussed now is that we the people will have to sacrifice our SS and Medicare benefits while our lawmakers enjoy superior health and retirement benefits at our expense. Time to discuss cutting these expensive lifetime benefits given to all the lawmakers no matter how dishonorably they have served.

It is unfair that States that are successful have to carry those that are not and unable to be due to misguided governance.
