Amazon.com is gathering large amounts of money to fight in courts reasonable laws that have been passed by our representatives. Laws such as those that permit people to carry concealed handguns. This is a threat to everyone in society.

In the wake of yet another horrific mass shooting - the murder of 26 in Connecticut, including 20 innocent children - this petition seeks to protect our families from gun violence by evoking change in Washington.

The Newtown Conn. assault on Friday December 14th 2012, occurred because we have allowed deadly assault weapons to be considered as "guns". Unleashing such a pervasive mass murder weapon into the American public should be ended. 1) Assault weapons should be banned. 2) Owners should be registered and held liable and responsible for injury to ANYONE who is wounded or killed by ANY such weapon as a Class Action suite.

Our men and women heroes in Afghanistan will be coming home to be homeless in America, trying to make the transition to civilian life, healing their wounds and fighting the mental and physical demons while searching for gainful employment. PIERS MORGAN ON CNN TOLD US RECENTLY THAT THERE WERE 35 GUN MURDERS IN ENGLAND LAST YEAR CONTRASTING TO THE U.S. IN THE THOUSANDS, NOT SURE OF THE FIGURE. COME ON CITIZENS WHERE IS YOUR VOICE? 20 elementary school children have been murdered by a gunman wielding a weapon capable of shooting repeating rounds. Enough is Enough. It is time for mothers and fathers and uncles and aunts and grandparents and sisters and brothers to stand up to the NRA and the gun lobby and insist that the president aggressively pursue new gun control laws for our country.

Mass murder in schools, malls, workplaces? Maybe we should attack this problem in a way that would actually be effective.

We need to make sure that another shooting doesn't happen again.

It is about banning the sale of certain semi-automatic weapons that were meant for the military and law-enforcement, to civilians. The horror of what happened in Connecticut today reminded me that our Second Amendment rights do not extend to covering the right to murder children.

Undocumented people, who live in State of California, really need a driver license for the protecting of all Californians. On this way, police officers can identify immediately the record of the driver, if he/she has been under of alcohol situation, to punish those who broke our State Laws. However, I had been affect by this, as my church's friends who give me rides to my house, officers took their cars, as they don't have a California driver license or from other US State. I seem this unfair, as California State Government need and must pass a bill into a law, a driver license for those undocumented people who really need it, who work really hard, go to the church to Praise God, and serve other.

A cause and manner of death is pending." - New York Times With this recent and devastating tradegy, what more is there really to say. Something needs to be done, immediately.

The Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting is just the latest horror of unmitigated violence against innocent children and adults. If you are for gun control or against, is no longer the issue. The issue is that the state of mental illness care in the United States is deplorable. Please sign this petion to urge The White House and Congress to legislate more preventive and diagnostic measures to help people with mental illness, whom otherwise may take actions into their own hands, as happend today in Connecticut.
