There is NO reason for the sale to the public of ASSAULT RIFLES. There are plenty of inefficient gun control laws on the books - we don't need any more; we simply need to stop the sale of these weapons under the GUISE of freedom of speech.

I am a first grade teacher and I say enough is enough! Call all representatives and ask them to sponser and vote for a bill that would ban all automatic assault weapons.

I am affected as a citizen of the United States who has been traumatized, along with countless others, by the level of gun violence in nthis country.

We protect our property, our banks, our cars. Why are we not protecting our Children in school. Why are schools not protected better. Ask the parents that lost their children if we could do better at protecting that which is most precious to us. This unbelievable tragedy could only have been prevented by the shooter's mother or a well protected school. Access to our schools is too easy for all the wrong people.

I live in a rural community and there are more and more break-ins every day. I have to be able to defend myself and my family!

Tighten Gun Restrictions

We've been conditioned to think we need a barracuda to fight for distribution of assets and custody, but there's a better way: a family agency with a panel of experts working together to devise the best plan for the family. Husbands and wives don't need to be pitted against each other in a divorce. They just think they do because that's the dumb system. That system can be changed and so can your mindset. As an attorney, I am witness to the destructive nature of the family and domestic relations courts which treat family matters as if they were criminal proceedings. Violence should be handled in a criminal court, divorce and custody should not.

Rhonda Lee, an African American meteorologist, who responded on social media to comments regarding her short natural was fired. She should be rehired as she states that she was not aware of an unofficial policy, as stated by the television station, that a response to a viewer could not be made. Her response was to inform him that she was not a cancer patient, but rather a healthy lady who sought to express her African heritage through her hairstyle, beauty, intelligence and poise.

In our current political climate, the 2nd Amendment will not be repealed. However, the Supreme Court will likely not interfere if individual states apply licensing requirements similar to those required to operate a motor vehicle. Since individual states control gun licensing, I am asking my state to take up the matter, and institute a reasonable set of prerequisites for gun ownership.

I am concerned about the effect of global warming on the world's food supply. This summer, the entire state of Oklahoma was under severe to extreme drought conditions. But it wasn't just Oklahoma, 65% of the United States and much of the land on Earth where food is grown were also experiencing drought. Food shortages can pose humanitarian crises and national security concerns. The Agricultural Committee must act protect our food supplies.

I'd like to see all elected official in Congress on Obamacare Plan instead of the current royal system they enjoy at taxpayers' expense. If they want everyone to join to keep costs down, then why does Congress enjoy a Cadallac program that most American's can have.

I am a teacher and I know full well the complete lack of security present in most and particularly elementary schools bec the few guards present im schools are there to break up fights not to protect the children. Most schools are easily entered and only guarded by nonunion untrained personnel on a temp basis. Aren't out children our most valuable possesions? We collect them all together with no protection everyday not counting us teachers who have been faced with ppl who come off the streets at all times of the day. This ks nothing new. I have never been in a properly secured school. Shouldnt the govnt be spending as much money protecting ut schools as they spend checking out luggage at an airport?
