As a Vietnam Combat Veterans who must be classified as one of the "returning wounded" from that generation and VA Service Rep for over 30 years, that was medically retired from VA Employment, I was at a meeting on July 30, 2012 with Congressman John Lewis, where issues about the Atlanta VA were discussed and the Congressman promised to start hearings on these complaints. This petition is to get the Congressman to keep his promise to start these hearings, and thereafter introduce a Bill to Overhaul the VA. The courts, veterans' complaints and the media have provided evidence of this need for years. The time for action is now.

when i was in my 20s i had health insurance thru my fathers business but when he retired and things changed i became sadled with a catostrophic medicare penalty of 110 percent. congress doesnt care. they just love keeping my social security money which i desperately need to live. i think they have taken 20000 dollars from me so far. they justify this by saying i cost them money by late enrollment. just the opposite. all that private insurance my father bought misguidedly saved the government a fortune. I only receive 537 dollars a month in social security. I am disabled and alone in the world. I need my money back to live in the world. I wish senator barbara mikulski and senator ben cardin and congressman dutch rupersberger would care enough to fix this nighmare

The bus is always crowed beginning at the first stop until it reach Dadeland South, The residents in the Southwest section of Dade County deserve much better bus service. We would like to have accordion buses on Route 38. Taxpayers and bus-riders please sign this petition asking the county commissioners to place accordion buses on this route. Thank You Celeste

While on an outing shopping when entering into the store from any angle, it doesn't matter what store walking into employees are smoking outside not to far from the front door. People shop with their children let alone they have health issues and cannot breathe sometimes. No one needs to smell the smoke. It's not just stores but it's also bus stops it needs to stop. I would prefer if I could breathe and also not have the smell of smoke set in my clothes. Please make this a mandatory law. That it cannot be done anywhere in front of a business or bus stop. Ethanol added to gasoline causes a whole host of problems for automobiles and other machinery. Now the Federal Government is poised to increase the amount of ethanol in fuel and that could potentially cause an engine failure in your vehicle. This has to stop!

We will all be personally affected if CONGRESS cannot get their act together and reach a deal to prevent the fiscal cliff. I am pushing for CONGRESS to stay in session, ie no holiday break until they reach a deal.

Allowing the churches & religious organizations to be exempt from taxation hurts everyone!

We need for our representatives to drop the Norquist anti-tax pledge and allow the Bush tax cuts for the top 2% to come to an end. Norquist is not relevant to our Congress as it now stands. The Republicans need to understand they were overwhelmingly defeated in this last election because they either don't understand or are not part of middle class America.

Getting rid of professional lobbyist. All money given to politicians by lobbyist should be against the law. Only individuals should be able to contact their representatives.

Corporations in our country don't pay taxes! When was the last time the government increased their taxes? When will our government stop the tax loopholes, subsidies, and welfare for big business? It affects us all personally! We as individuals pay more in taxes as a result!
