To restore the democratic process in the Senate by reducing the gridlock, we petition our Senators to reform the filibuster rules and to restore majority rule for legislative initiatives at the beginning of the new congress. This process began last year by House District 2 in Denver, and they're now being joined by like-minded progressives across the state of Colorado.

In this time of struggle for so many Americans, a credit check does not offer a correct reflection of how an applicant will perform their occupational duties. I have worked HARD for 35 years, and now have to change my occupation due to a work injury almost 2 years ago. My credit has suffered horribly during this time, and although I am well qualified for several occupations, I continue to get letters of decline after prospective employers use my credit as a reference. I know I am not alone in this situation; whether job loss is from injury or business foreclosure, credit checking is not a fair practice.

Nevada Insurance regulations require any car with license plates to be fully insured year round. This is stupid for classic cars that are only driven a few times per year to car shows. Consequently, classic car owners either don't drive their cars or they license and insure them at out of State addresses to get around this unrealistic law. Nevada is out of touch with the rest of the country where "cruise nights" generate millions of dollars of local business revenue. Time to Change this insurance law for classic car owners in Nevada. This law will save classic car owners thousands of dollars that they can spend to grow the economy and not line the pockets of insurance companies- who now get money for cars that are rarely driven. If they do license and insure their cars in Nevada, the extra cost per year is almost $100 EACH TIME YOU DRIVE YOUR CAR TO 5 car shows. This stupid law-that makes it too expensive to drive your classic cars a few times per year - has prevented the development of "cruise nights" in Nevada-and the State's economy is loosing millions of dollars of economic stimulation.

Lithium Ion batteries are subject to thermal runaway which can cause them to blow up or vent toxic gasses. The explosion is not the only threat. The electrolyte in these batteries is LiPF6 (lithium Hexafluoraphoshate). These batteries have no toxicity warning on them. Thermal runaway of LiPF6 releases it's fluoride ions into the air where it reacts and bonds with Hydrogen creating Hydrogen Fluoride (HF). Hazard Summary : Toxic by inhalation, in contact with skin and if swallowed. Extremely corrosive and destructive to tissue. Specialized medical treatment is required for all exposures. May be fatal if inhaled, absorbed through skin, or swallowed. The EPA labels fluoride as more toxic than lead and slightly less toxic than Arsenic. These manufacturers keep this information suppressed in order to maintain profit and because the FCC doesn't require them to label the threat. I don't know about anyone else, but I like to know what threats lurk in my home. So let's tell the FCC that we have the right to know what is being sold to us and label it.

Our public officials have become some of our biggest problems and always seem to forget what they were elected to do. They seem to think that once elected,they are entitled to a free ride for life.

Foreign Aid goes for more grants to people overseas from our government than the people that pay the tax money to fund them. We are facing a fiscal cliff and are funding other countries. We continue to fund other countries that want to kill us. THIS mismanagement MUST STOP NOW!!!! .

Ford, Fiat, Honda, Hyundai, Toyota, VW,et. al. are merely biding their time with compliance measures, and absolutely are not moving fast enough. Perhaps deliberately. Perhaps they do not understand the imperative of a collapsing Arctic at an ever-accelerating rate. Or the trillions of global dollars funneled to hostile forces. So we, the American Consumer, must take up that slack to accelerate mass production and beat our President's target goal of 1M EVs on the road by 2015.The sooner we kill Big Oil, the sooner we can break through to a new economy and the future It has withheld from us until now.

Pension and retirement safety and equality for all Americans!

I am a physician and my husband is a lawyer. We have been blessed with good jobs. However, we know that all Americans are not so lucky. I have nephews and nieces who work very hard and barely can make their payments each month. We must maintain our social safety net. There is more to life and humanity than making millions.

After Sandy, hundreds thousands of people whose phone service is dependent on digital fiber-optic cables powered by electricity were cut off, and many cell phone towers were not functional, yet Verizon and AT & T are determined to stop offering and servicing the older, but more reliable "copper" service which has its own power source and is less likely to be affected by storms. Being without phone service poses a serious health and safety risk. The phone companies are public utilities whose priority should be to serve the public and not merely to enhance their already huge profits.

We feel we pay more than our share of taxes.

These are amazing animals and killing them is wrong.We need to educate the farmers and the Legislature.
