  • REAL homeowner foreclosure protection laws
Current foreclosure laws in California do NOT require lender to prove they have the Note or Deed to foreclose. Require lenders to prove they have the right to foreclose. New law only covers modification protection, but does nothing requiring ALL assignments be recorded and most are fraudulent via MERS. New law should REQUIRE proof of valid ownership and proof assignee owns both Note and Deed before it can assign it.

  • November Election: National Holiday
Voter disenfranchisement happens nationally through long lines, polling stations that are too small, have little parking and/or are difficult to locate, unqualified or slow poll workers, poor line management and in many other ways. A National Holiday every November election day would 1. Close schools : this would open up schools to be polling places. 2. Provide poll workers on that day. 3.Proclaim that voting is essential to our democracy by being a national holiday. 4. Allow voters to come throughout the day, not just as polls open and after their work hours. This would greatly lessen lines.

  • Preserving Public Education
Having spent more than 25 years working in public education I am concerned that the "reforms" championed by US Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, will ruin public eduation while opening up the "market" to privatization. Follow the money. Who benefits from producing tests, evaluating tests, and publicizing test results? Who stands to suffer? Is this reform? A NY State child now starts the year being tested by her teachers in every subject so as to "prove" that the child knows little in order to create a favorable comparison for the end of the year. Is our goal to improve drop-out rates of students and teachers?

  • STOP "for-profit" schools from enrolling new students due to job loss
I am a former graduate from ITT Technical Institute and received my Associates Degree in Computer Network Systems in July 2006. Now it's November 2012 and I have no job leading to any IT position. The only jobs I were only able to obtain are "minimum wage" jobs. With $20,000 in debt, student loans doubled in 6 years, and searching for something that doesn't exist I feel robbed out of a education. According to the student loan act it should be discharged if I didn't benefit from the education, which I haven't. Why am I working mininum wage $8.25/hr jobs? When I first saw the ITT Tech commercial in 2002 I thought it would be a excellent choice to further my career, but now 10 years later it's a disaster. My student loans are currently in deferment and my wages are being garnished. I'm struggling as is it and these people won't get off my back. The economy has went to booming to people losing their jobs in groves and I'm affected by all this.

  • End Parental Rights of Rapists
It is legal in 31 states for a rapist to request the same rights as any other biological father. If a woman does decide to carry a rapist's baby and raise it, she should not have to be tied to that man forever, nor should an innocent child be exposed to someone capable of such a heinous act.

  • No electioneering near polling places... including near any lines leading into the voting location.
The 2012 election had many incidences of verbal altercations between law abiding citizens, who were waiting to express their voting choices in our civilized society, as they waited at the polling/voting location and people who showed up just to harass them for exercising their constitutional right to vote. Current laws state that: "No person shall conduct ANY campaigning or electioneering for any candidate or ballot issues within 100 feet of the front door to any polling/voting location. Since the long lines going into many voting locations went far beyond the 100 feet limit, that is where the verbal harassing and altercations took place.

  • A constitutional amendment regarding elections and the electoral franchise
Recent elections have revealed imperfections in the electoral process that include eternal campaigning, an effective monopoly on public political speech by the two major parties, the warping of elections by the extremely wealthy, the protection of falsehoods in political discourse, and a lack of uniformity in the electoral process from state to state. Most importantly, however, the Constitution does not explicitly state that the people of the US have a right to democratically-elected representative government. This proposed Constitution amendment would eliminate these defects.
