Support the only Women Of Color cannabis healing dispensary in Venice Beach! When one of the founding members of Cannabis Vision Partners discovered her mother had breast cancer there was no where she could take her mother to for a safe, knowledgeable and comfortable experience at a dispensary. This was 14 years ago. Today not much has changed. We now have "apple store" style dispensaries and not one but TWO MedMen dispensaries approved by LA city council to operate in Venice, but none of them cater to women's needs and none of them are owned by women and certainly not women of color. Women and particularly women of color are the most disadvantaged when it comes to healthcare and almost invisible when it comes to natural healing. The needs of women and women of color are not being met in health and in business. One of the fastest growing industries is cannabis and currently the community of Venice Beach is being dominated and monopolized by greedy male corporations- essentially keeping out any women and especially women of color. This is a healing industry and the need for women focused healing is being neglected and we need change. You can make a difference for all women of color who choose to heal themselves with natural medicine and not with addictive pharmaceuticals and for women who want to make a difference in their communities. It all starts with someone like you who cares about women's needs.141 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Yvonne DeLaRosa

Hazardous road conditionPlease join this petition to get our roads fixed properly for your safety and the other tenants who live back here as well as visitors. I have 3 daughters on which has hit a pot hole while riding her bike and now has scars on her side of her body. Also my vehicle has been destroyed within a year of getting it new off the lot there is almost no where we can pass to avoid some of these pot holes. Most of these holes are around 5-9 inches deep. Other tenants have complained and tried to reach out but has been denied their right to have safe passage down our roads. Please consider to take it in your hearts for better living conditions for young’s community.56 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Page Collins

The Agricultural News & Rural Content ActHello, my name is Emily Jenkins I reside in Broadway VA. I am a member of the Broadway FFA and the Greenmont 4H where I am the president and I am very active in our local rural and agricultural events. I am writing about my concern for or rural and agriculture news (RFD TV). I am asking you to help protect rural programming by urging that the Agricultural News & Rural Content Act be attached to the Infrastructure Bill. I find the rural and agriculture news very informing and important. To my family, we look to the channels to watch the weather and know about the important things going on in the agriculture community. To me, it's not just a tv channel, I enjoy watching the rodeos and FFA conventions when I am not able to attend. Many current providers do not carry or charge a premium for rural and agricultural news such as RFD TV. Please don't deprive the rural and agricultural community of this vital information source. Thank you for your consideration and I would be interested in speaking with you about this further. Thank you for your time.138 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Emily Jenkins

Lower prescription drug prices now!President Biden has vowed to lower prescription drug prices. And now, Congressional Democrats are focusing on HR 3, the Elijah E. Cummings Lower Drug Costs Now Act, a measure that will allow the federal government to directly negotiate lower drug prices. This bill previously passed the House but stalled in the McConnell graveyard-of-a-Senate. But now we have a chance to pass this legislation with or without Republicans, and we must demand Congressional Democrats do just that. Democrats can and must attach this bill to the infrastructure and jobs package. This legislation will then have the chance to be passed via reconciliation and provide the relief from soaring drug prices we need while avoiding Republican roadblocks. We must demand Congress include HR 3 in the Build Back Better budget reconciliation package to ensure we have a fighting chance at lowering drug prices that have become unaffordable for millions of Americans! 3 Democrats, Scott Peters (CA), Kurt Schrader (WA) and Kathleen Rice (NY) voted against this provision in committee, and some Senators have indicated they don't support it. They need to hear from us NOW! Sign the petition: Congress include HR 3 in the infrastructure package and address soaring, unaffordable drug prices in the U.S.3,158 of 4,000 SignaturesCreated by Laura Packard

A parent's plea to DC Public Schools: Students REQUIRE more than 2 weeks of in-person summer schoolThe education of black and brown children in the District has been negatively impacted by the schools closing and virtual learning. To make up for this I'm asking that DCPS provide an effective summer school program for its students.26 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Tunisia Christian
