Some have said that they enjoy the extra hour of sunlight that Daylight Saving Time provides. However, you can’t cut the bottom off a blanket and sew it to the top to make it longer! We will have more sunlight in the summer regardless of what the clock says. Daylight Saving Time disrupts our natural rhythms, and studies have shown that when we change the clocks, there are more car accidents, more heart attacks, and more energy use. This archaic practice is useless and irrelevant in modern times, since we use computers, televisions, and even artificial lighting during daylight hours. Let’s stop accepting this madness and do something to end it! Walter Robb, you voted yes on Prop 37 (http://bit.ly/WIQsKR), thank you. Unfortunately it failed because our side was outspent by corporations who make some of the products you sell. Mr. Robb & Mr. Mackey, why would you continue to give these corporations your money by selling us their products which they refuse to label? I'm not going to buy them, certainly, but my voice alone will not be heard above Monsanto's. But many voices together will be heard, especially if Whole Foods' is one of those voices.

Enough with partisan politics in Washington. It is time to get something done. I don't want to hear about the "fiscal cliff," I want to hear about how you are going to work together to prevent it. SIX BILLION dollars was spent on the 2012 campaign, and no one seems to see a problem with this? It's not about getting elected, it's about FIXING THE PROBLEMS this country has. During the Presidential Election registered voters were misinformed, polling sites ran out of ballots, machines were late/malfunctioned, and staff members were unprofessional.

I have watched as the highest percentage of filibusters in the history of Congress and our nation has been used as a punitive tool and political strategy by the radicalizing Republican Party purely as an insurance policy against any legislative progress and success by President Obama and the Democratic Party. Ignoring the will of the people, acting in opposition to their own historical support of compromise as a path to progress, and most disgracefully, disregarding the best interests of their constituents and the American people during a time of crisis, partisans in Congress have placed our country at risk and have jeopardized a financial recovery to advance their own specific agenda. Congress must act now to restore the power of the people, through its representatives, so as not to not be hostage to the 'ruling' party in Congress. Write your congressman NOW and let he or she know that you are tired of the 'stall' tactics and want to get things done immediately to move our country forward.

I want to start an effort to demand that NBC News remove David Gregory as host of Meet the Press after he violated the Society of Professional Journalists' Code of Ethics by being the keynote speaker at a conference for a major Republican consulting group, NFIB.
