Our petition is about being against bullying/cyberbullying. we have been effected in the past by bullies. Thats why we come on strong about this.

I am an unwilling participant (through taxes) of massive aid to Israel. From 2009 to 2018, the US is scheduled to give Israel–the largest recipient of U.S. Assistance–$30 billion in military aid. Through its illegal 44-year military occupation of the Palestinian West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza Strip, Israel misuses US weapons in violation of US law to kill end injure Palestinian civilians, destroy Palestinian civilian infrastructure, blockade theGaza Strip, and build illegal settlements in West Bank and East Jerusalem.

The petition is about the concern about increasing prices of gas and other things that we need to live and to get to work. It effects us economically.

Mitt Romney needs to come clean with the American people and release his tax returns. He had his vice presedential candidate submit ten years and Romney needs to do the same. If he is elected, then it is too late to get this information out to the public.

Jackson Public School students and parents are calling for the immediate adoption of the Mississippi Student Bill of Rights by their schools. The MS SBR's articulate ten rights that all MS students should have in their schools. For too long our rights have been consistently and routinely violated; this must stop immediately and the protections of MS SBR must be adopted by our schools. Students deserve the right to be treated humanely, with respect, free from discrimination and prejudice as they pursue their education. Students deserve exceptional teachers, administrators, and other staff who's first goal is always the best interest of the students. Students deserve resources and information that will provide us with opportunities to achieve our full potential. The school environment must be a conducive place for learning and achieving, not a place of criminalization and penalization. Students are the future of MS, we should be treated as such if this state is to succeed and prosper. Adopting the MS SBR is a necessary and critical step in achieving all of this for JPS students. Mississippi Student Bill of Rights PREAMBLE: We, the students of Mississippi, in order to have the greatest chances for success, have defined ten critical areas that will prepare us for our future. We commit to engaging our school, community, and state leaders on these issues so that – together – we can create a better Mississippi for all. 1. Equal Opportunity: We must be treated equally regardless of race, class, gender, sexual orientation, and disability. We must have full funding for public education and access to healthcare. Equal, quality education and healthcare must be provided for all of us. 2. Safety: Every school must be a safe and supportive place for learning. Police in our schools should protect us from harm and not be misused to enforce zero tolerance policies against us. Find alternatives to the harsh overuse of zero tolerance policies that do not criminalize typical student behavior. Educate us don’t incarcerate us. 3. Sex Education: We deserve access to medically accurate, comprehensive information about sex, teen pregnancy, and STD/Is and how these things affect our bodies and communities. It is hard to find comprehensive information about our bodies because curriculums like Abstinence Only/Plus are not sufficient. 4. Respect: Treat us as key partners in changing our schools by ending the overly harsh disciplinary practices and policies that push youth into the School to Prison Pipeline. The reliance on this creates a prison-like environment that takes away our power to positively influence our schools and communities. Educate us through positive behavior methods and alternatives to suspensions, expulsions, and arrests. 5. The Best Teachers: We deserve accurate, fair, and non-biased standardized testing by investing in alternatives that teach us and not just test us. Provide us with the best, most highly qualified teachers who inspire quality results in reading, writing, science, math, art, history and music. 6. Tools: Provide us with the resources needed to learn: books, lab supplies, musical instruments, art supplies, computers, and the latest educational technology that will help us be competitive in the 21st century. 7. Leadership: We hold all leaders accountable for vision, courage, and results. We will do this by actively participating and encouraging our leaders to do what is best for us; nothing about us without us. 8. Extracurriculars: We deserve out of school activities to expand our opportunities and skills that give us safe, fun, and enriching places to be when not in school and opportunities for quality employment. 9. Starting Younger: We deserve quality pre-Kindergarten education. Kindergarten should be the next step, not the first step, in education. 10. Ready for Life: Our diplomas must not just be a piece of paper. Our leaders must take the necessary steps to ensure that our diploma means that we’re ready for college, work, and life. As a former mainframe programmer, I was acutely aware of how easy it would be to insert a few lines of code into computer software to manipulate the output, so was vehemently against putting our voting process onto computers. Now multiple reports have surfaced that speak to this very issue regarding the computer software that gathers and reports voting outcomes. Why do exit polls, formerly notoriously accurate, now seldom if ever match the "final" vote tallies? A reported 6.7% discrepancy between exit polls and the "final" vote was reported in the 2004 Ohio election. Moreover, some of our election software is now owned by foreign entities, who have proprietary rights, keeping it "secret" from the very people using it. Who do we suppose will pay those people to ensure certain candidates' victories?

There is an outstanding campaign promise with a retirement benefit that is still lacking those disabled veterans who have earned a military retirement also. Currently our military retirement has to be returned to the service of which a disabled veteran has retired, when the disability payment from the VA is greater than the retirement amount. Chapter 61 veterans have been excluded because they did not serve 20 years. How do you serve 20 years when you are seriously disabled? Going through a disability retirement process already has a time in service requirement, that has to be met. Why raise the bar on seriously disabled veterans that have gone through both profuse agonizing processes?

Despite having an opponent, Jeff Kazanow, in the November 6 general election, Rep. Tom Price refuses to remain accountable to his constituents and participate in even a single debate. We believe, in the interest of democracy and transparency, that Rep. Price should agree to debates with Jeff Kazanow.

What started out as one student loan for my son ended up being 3 student loans. I am trying to pay all 3 loans for my son, it took him about 2 yrs to find a place to hire him because he had no experience. My son, his wife and 2 kids had to move in with me because they couldn't afford to live on their own. Student loans are a rip off. They promise you good jobs and job placement.Neither are true!!

From billions of dollars in oil, mining, agri-business and pharmaceutical industry subsidies, to health insurance and communications, housing & defense subsidies all seen as the entitlements these and many other corporations expect government agencies to provide in federal lands for use and exploitation, research assistance, & favorable tariffs, regulation or deregulation, contracts and legislation.

The Voter ID laws are simply a new form of voter suppression, being sold as a way to end non-existent voter fraud.

No One who works a full time job should have to depend on food stamps or welfare to feed themselves or keep a roof over their heads. Republican policies over the past 30 years have meant that wages have not kept up with inflation for 80% of Americans. Now, even dual income families struggle to pay their bills. In the meantime, the wealthiest in this country have seen their incomes and wealth soar...even executives, who are not the founders of the companies they run receive salaries and compensation 1000's of times that of their employees. Laws must be put into place to provide LIVING WAGES to all full time employees over the age of 21. Those wages must automatically increase at the rate of inflation. America's success was built on this concept that we are all in this together....The wealthy and powerful have forgotten that, enrich themselves, and ship jobs overseas.
