• Governor Tom Corbett Help the Poor, Give Back the Auto Allowance to those Who Want to Work!
As of May 2012, Governor Tom Corbett has taken away any car allowance to help low income people get a vehicle or get vehicle repairs to get them to school or to work. This is unacceptable! We want the allowance put back into affect immediately! You have a leased vehicle that costs taxpayers over $600 per month. Do your job and help the poor get back on their feet.

  • Landlord Can Give Notice to Vacate without Cause
This California law needs changing. Landlords should only be able to give Notice with Cause, i.e. tenant doesn't pay rent or is destructive to property. As it stands, landlords can give notice for personal reasons, personality disorder on their part.

  • Romney Business Credentials
Mitt is running on one platform; to defeat President Obama. He has stated that his most important credential to do this is in creating jobs during his career, specifically at Bain Capital. Indications are that jobs were outsourced. Also, his assets are hidden in accounts outside the U.S. Voters of all stripes need to know the details of his business dealings in order to assess how Mitt's business practices will support his contention that he has, and will, create jobs. The most efficient and effective way to do this is to release a decade's worth of tax returns, as his father did a generation ago. This is especially important in light of the fact that the McCain ticket would not consider Romney as a running mate based on this information. Why should WE consider him. In four years, not much will have changed. VOTERS ARE ENTITLED TO THIS INFORMATION in order to make an informed decision in November.

  • Keep Governors/Lawmakers from Privatizing their Pockets with Taxpayer's Money
I am concerned about Republican Governors owning monied interests in private businesses they are pushing on the people of their state through laws and policies to replace government agencies. For example Rick Scott, Governor of Florida wants all state workers to take urine drug screens from a company that he owns monied interest in. Rick Scott, Govenor of Florida and Jan Brewer, Governor of Arizona also want to privatize prisons. This sets up corruption that is unimaginiable in that people who make laws about who goes to prison are also lining their pockets with taxpayer money supporting those prisons. Also, the more people that are in prison, the more money they make. Could this be why Jan Brewer is so intererested in placing illegal immigrants in prison? This is not free enterprise and this is not democracy. It is a very scarey type of facism and needs to be nipped in the bud now instead of later.

  • Fair and Balanced Health Care for ALL
The US Senate and House of Representatives have our health care future in their hands. A number of them believe that the US cannot "afford"quality health care for all Americans, while at the same time they enjoy a level of health care for themselves and their families that we can only dream about. This means that what they're voting on does not affect them, or their families. They and all their family members get preventative care to stay in good health,no caps on maximum benefits and easy access to the doctors of their own choice. If our govenrment cannot afford to give you and I the same level of benefits our elected officials receive, then our politicians should get no better health care than the average wage earner in the US. The US Labor Department and Health and Human Services can set the maximum benefit based on the reports they already have. Politicians are elected to serve us,and protect our interest. They have nothing to lose if health care is not resolved for all Americans.

  • Stop the secrecy surrounding the Trans-Pacific Partnership!
Branded as a “trade deal” by its corporate proponents, the TPP would actually establish new corporate rights and privileges that would include permanent constraints on government regulation. These include new corporate safeguards to ease job offshoring, assert control over natural resources, and severely limit the government's ability to regulate financial services, land use, food safety, natural resources, energy, tobacco, healthcare and more.

  • Stop Piece work exploitation and pay a fair hr rate.
Stop employers like DirecTV that paids technicians by the job they complete only, but in many, many cases these technicians dont get paid over time, driving time, jobs that were canseled or rescheduled by customers, jobs where the customers were not home or jobs that were not able to be completed for reason that are out of the technicians control, these technicians work long hours, but they dont get pay all the hrs of work, and the employers like DirecTV are getting away with that, what we need is a law that forces all employers to pay the employees by the hour their work insted of piece rates.
