Although I basically believe in the concept of the bill, I do think that it needs to be rewritten to make it more transparent and easier to understand. Should it be mandatory for everyone considering many make so little that they cannot afford the insurance. What is the workaround?

We do not control our money, our government does not control our money. Our money is loaned to us with interest from the federal reserve, creating a never ending debt to a private institution that does not have the peoples best interest at heart. We should not be taxed by the sweat of our brow. We should not be taxed at all. Our taxes do not go to the services we think we are paying for. Sure, we get a nice little refund from the IRS, but those are the same people who will garnish your wages and put you down until you can't crawl out of your debt, causing you to file bankruptcy. You and I do not stimulate the economy. The economy is controlled through few hands and well placed propaganda. We need to put a stop to this. We should not let a machine run our lives through fear of its collapse. So sign this. Abolish the reserve. Free yourself. Eliminate the income tax. There are so many things wrong with the America we put on paper. We are not free. The patriot act is straight from nazi germany. We are headed down a BAD path. End wars. Save lives. Whatever it takes - any branch of the federal government that can be influenced to overturn the Citizens United Ruling. This decision by the Supreme Court has had a tremendously negative impact on our political process and democratic principles and continues to challenge the very essence of which the United States of America was founded upon. Corporations have stacked the deck such that they have all the rights of individuals and very little of the accountability. Corporate power has far too much political power and thereby limits the political power of American citizens. Manufactured Homes do not qualify for the Government refinancing. Presently, there is NO one out there who will finance or refinance a Manufactured Home. This is discrimination! It has happened to me and millions of others. There are over 10 milliom people living in Manufactured homes. We cannot get any help! We are told that we have the wrong property type. Yes, we are a nation of immigrants, but we need to reduce immigration to traditional levels so that it does not drive population growth and unemployment. In the 1970’s, our population reached 200 million, and we wondered how we were going to preserve our environment. People started having fewer children, But the government drastically increased immigration (and ignored illegal migration) to the point where we are at 325 million. We’ll be at a half billion by mid century! Meanwhile we are running out of resources and trampling the environment. If we maintain our current immigration policy, our environment will be destroyed by overpopulation. This excessive growth is also causing wage depression and outright unemployment. We have massive unemployment, yet we are importing workers faster than we are creating jobs. This makes no sense.

Many Americans are out of work and suffering financially, and Republican Mitt Romney claims to have solutions for the nation's economic problems. However, he says he will not release his tax return until after the presidential election, and he has put millions of dollars in secret off-shore accounts to avoid paying federal taxes. Any person seeking to become President of the United States should be totally ethical and transparent in their financial dealings and pay their fair share of taxes to contribute to the common good. Mitt Romney needs to release his complete financial information so that Americans can judge for themselves whether he is trustworthy, has the nation's best interests at heart, and is playing by the same rules as the rest of us. "For where your teasure is, there will your heart be also." (Matthew 6:21)

Congress' reelection promised more jobs for the American people but in all actuality, their main focus has been to stop the President from passing any kind of job's bill. They should be held accountable for stalling legislation to put Americans back to work.

My petition is about the US mail. I am personally affected by it because I receive and send mail. I also work at a post office. Congress wants to gut mail delivery by closing processing plants among other things to delay the delivery of first class mail.

The United Nations won't allow any country to legalize marijuana like wine while it's a signatory of the Single Convention. As the federal marijuana prohibition causes FAR more harm than good and reduces the safety of our children, we need to END it. The only way to legalize adult marijuana sales is to either get marijuana removed from the Single Convention or for the U.S. to withdraw itself from the treaty.
